Well, im goin to japan. The im in the navy and that's where they r sending me. i'll be their for atleast 3 years out of a 4 year enlistment, My 2000 celica is running great and i still get comments on how it looks brand new despite being a 2000! well i hope to keep it that way. im gonna store it in my parents garage while im gone. but b4 i do that i want to know if their r ne things that need to be done to it, liek un hook battery etc... it wont be driven for a long time, so i dont want it to be messed up when i return. Thanks for help.

you should tell your parents to run your car once in a while, dont let your hoses and seals go bad

i say sell it, it'll just depreciate sitting there in a garage.

Sell it, put the money into a savings account or whatever smart investment, come back in 3 years and by then, you can buy another celica at a cheaper price or a whole other car

btw, good luck in the navy

word... its a waste to put a 00 celica in the garage for 3 yrs..

In 3 years the value of your celica will probably be ~ 6 grand depending on the mileage. Hell, in 3 years it may be worthless because we will be out of oil.

If you are gonna keep it, just be sure your parents start it once a week. They don't have to drive it, but just starting it will keep the hoses and seals from deteriorating(as stated above)

Do an oil change before you leave too.

Sell it and use the money on japanese hookers.

do a complete detail. put it on jack stands or bricks. keep the car covered. fuel stabalizer, change oil, unplug battery. full tank of gas.

my cousins prelude is in his garage til he's done with school in hawaii. 4 years. comes back every year and drives it, and repeats the storage pocess.

hopefully his hoses don't crack.

dude! 3 or 4 years??? sell your car and get another car when u come back, whats the point of keeping your car that u dont use and the price going down every year? It is better to put the money in the bank.
One more thing, before u come back, think about what kind of car u wanna get and bring some JDM parts from there :D

Sell it and use the money to get u a car in Japan. JDM car are very very cheap used there you could get a much better car with the money you would get selling your celica.

3-4 years?--it won't matter: hyperinflation. Bring back JDM parts and trade it to ricers for rice! ;)

yes trade them for rice, that will be our fuel source in a few years, mark my wordz.

id sell the car, put it into a higher intrest account, or invest it. youd make money on it. plus after 4 years, it will need some work and will smell funky.

damn it, i didnt realize it would be soo much of a hassel. Im leaving tommorw! i dont think i have time to do all that stuff. I guess i could sell it but idk if i want too cuase its already in great shape now , if i can keep it that way i can have a 10 year old car that looks and runs great. and they dont make celica's ne more so it'll be even more rare and thats what i like, having something else that no else has. i have ww body kit, replica trd spoiler and raised hood scope, i have yet to see a car just liek mine ne where b4. and i plan on saving up as much money as i can whlie in the navy and then buying liek a next gen. supra or soemthing when it comes , which it should come out by the time im out. But i heard japan is really expensive, can u tell ne thing else about japan?

the cost of living I believe is more expensive but if you are gonna live on a ship or base, whatever the navy puts you in the only thing that will cost more to you is probably food.

Cars on the other hand are pretty cheap since its not uncommon to find decent running cars in junkyards or used car lots that will sell them for a penny.

You have to make sure the fuel's chemical compounds have oxidized with the nitrogen particles to form a stable mixture. Don't you know anything?
