I had this creaking problem since I bought my car (2000 GT-S), but it's getting worse these days, so I brought it to the dealer. I noticed a gap between the rear right suspension housing and the body (you can see this when you take off the inside panels, but it's hard to describe... hope this helps[pictures rear left and right] (http://photos.yahoo.com/cobrajam78) ) where the spot weldings are half detached!! They kinda admitted this location is the cause of the creaking, but they told me that they couldn't fix it, because I put TRD bar in the back.

First, I am shocked that they refused to fix it, although it is TRD bar.
Second, I doubt the TOYOTA's construction quality... I mean what if the weldings were detached???

Does anyone have ths kind of problems? I don't know what to do... Any help is appreciated

You aren't the only one having this problem (check out this thread: http://www.newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20405).

I couldn't access the pictures. Is there anyway you can email those to me? Much appreciated.

Thank you for the threads. Wow, it seems like many people have the same welding problms from various places because of bad welds... i wonder what happened to toyota.

anyway, I sent you pictures where the welds are off. Whn you compare the right and left tire (suspension?) housing, the right one is definitely not aligned well...
