HAHAHA center council, you mean center console? lol. as to answer your question, i've never seen those before, looks like its some aftermarket stuff and its not stock. Did you buy your car used? you might want to ask the previous owner.

yes i did buy it used and i dont think its aftermarket because they are well wrapped just like the other wires.

They don't appear to be Toyo standard color code. Probably alarm, stereo, or gauge related. Trace them back.

well my car does have an after market alarm system ( a ghetto one too) so those wires must be spares from the alarm system

head unit = radio
But in the second picture you can see that he has the stock head unit
Just look around for pink wires, there shouldn't be too many thick pink wires in your car.
Look under the dash, behind the glovebox, in the arm rest consol, in the engine bay,
Those wires run somewhere......
But in the second picture you can see that he has the stock head unitThat doesn't mean that was always the case;)

just put them back in and don't think about them anymore.
As long as everything is working, ignore them :)

Dont know why someone would leave wires in there from aftermarket head unit, but then again what do I know. :shrugs:
I agree with Mad Matt, tuck them away and don't think about them any more.

but what if it is the power source for a neato hideaway compartment in the hatch that he doesn't know about?? Or even like all the wires for a fuel pump kill switch? Kinda located out of place but...you never know what it could be.
trace the wires one day when you are working behind your console or cluster. Thats my best advice.
Otherwise something could blow a fuse or go out on you and then you would still have to figure out what these are attached to, and if they are what damaged your car.

MAYBE it was James Bond his car and it powers machineguns and rocket launchers....
Just ignore them and when you know a bit more about wires go and retrace them

I left mine in when I returned my leased Celica, my thought was that whoever got the car next wouldn't have to do the wiring again if they wanted to go with an aftermarket HU.
