well the new viper alarms have a built in turbo timer. So when I put mine on my MR2 i actually just eliminated the turbo time unit. Its all built into the alarm now. Much simpiler to keep it all in one unit.

The Clifford Matrix RS3.5 has a turbo timer and alarm feature. I don't have mine setup because I like my old school GReddy unit (the one that plays music on start).

Did you do the install yourself? I'm looking to install one on the same year MR2, and I'm just wondering if it's a difficult install or not.

compustar 2wss or compustar 2w900, both have optional turbo timer options.

i can try ask my sister how it was done. She has a remote start/greddy turbo timer hooked up in her teg. Very convenient, but just remember, make sure you have the car in neutral.

yeah i did it myself. the mr2 was definately on the easier side of some cars i have done, but not the easiest. The wiring itself is easy to work with. Just running the wires was the hard part due to the configuration and lay out of the mr2. Celica was a little more tricky with the wiring but easier with running the wires.

As for turning on the alarm while the turbo timer, it is possible. I just read on another forum how to do it but I don't remember where it is.
As for my sister, she doesn't have a celica. She has a 94 gsr hooked up through the greddy turbo timer and alarm. So has remote start up and can activate the alarm with the enginge still counting down

I have the CompuStar 2WSS and it has the turbo timer and remote start for manual transmissions. It's very nice.

Certain systems allow for activation while the engine is running. I can lock mine while turbo timing. The only downside is, when it's finished, the car unlocks. My system thinks that I'm driving in an "unsafe" neighborhood and wants extra protection at stoplights. Therefore, when the car shuts off, it thinks I've reached my destination and unlocks.

You might want to check your laws before doing this too. I was told in IL that it is illegal to install a remote start option on an alarm on a manual transmission car. Obviously due to the fact a lot of people do not park in neutral.

Yea true. But I'm in hawaii. We have no smog checks or anything. Only recon which the cops don't care too much about unless you are doing dumbsh*t.

i have that viper alarm with the turbo timer, 2 way paging, and stuff on a manual car. all you have to do is jumper the wire that tell the alarm the car is in park. and the clutch switch. i dont have a turbo. but i use the function so my car is running when i get out, and therefore deffinately not in gear when go to remote start it.
