Be more specific when you ask a question...do you have stock internals? GT or GTS? Manual or Auto? On stock internals you should be fine with a 50 shot..and you won't redline unless you're a dumba$$ and inject nos at high rpms.

Since I am nice I will answer.. First you should really use the search function, that out of the way...
50 shot isn't to bad on the GT or GTS as long as you use it in the correct conditions..
This means not spraying when the engine is lugging, or when you are close to redline, this can be prevented using a mallory window switch.. Lots of brands tell you to go two steps colder on spark plugs, and to use higher octane gas, so I would do that to be safe also.

Also, there are some kits which tap into your throttle position sensor (TPS) so that it won't spray when you let off of WOT. That keeps it safe to spray thru shifts. A mallory switch is VERY useful for this setup so you don't spray right off of the line (wheel hop, etc.)

Just get the right stuff.. keep in mind if you go to track with nitrous you will need a Blow down tube for safety... I just bought my Kit for 700 shipped with extra's such as a Digital mallory switch,Blow down tube/Adapter, Pressure gauge/manifold.

actually is nitrous oxide, or N2O

1st off it's not "noz" or "nos" it's nitrous, juice, spray, squeez ect. as everyone has been gracefully hinting at.
NOS stands for Nitrous Oxide Systems a company that makes products & kits for nitrous oxide.
other well known companies include ZEX, Nitrous Express (NX), Edlebrock,
what year gts do you have? 03 & newer you will need a throttle position switch (TPS)
that reads the 5 volt signal when you apply full throttle. 02 & older you can use a wide open throttle switch (WOT) that will be activated by a switch you mount on the gas pedal or on the lever for your throttle cable (on the throttle body).
it's also recommended to run a "window switch". you set this at the RPM you want your nitrous to engauge & turn off hence the term "window switch"
you will also need to purchase a "wet" nitrous system as dry systems do not work with our cars, because we do not have a return fuel line on our cars.
most people with GT-S's run 50 shot, some run 75 shot. i personally would recommend 50 shot until you get something to help control your air fuel ratio.
as previously recommended you should run 1 or 2 step colder plugs. DO NOT USE platinum plugs, use copper or iridium. also use a japanese plug NGK or nippon denso's not autolite, champion, splitfire ect.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE use the SEARCH feature on the site it is very helpful & can answer alot of questions that are commonly asked & make sure you take your time & do the job right. it i will make the difference between reliability/fun & catastrophe.
Does running colder plugs have any affect on engine operation when you are not spraying? I understand with turbo's this makes sense but you are more or less always in boost, however with nitrous you are running it infrequently.

i have experienced a longer start time in the morning. otherwise no diffrerence that i have felt.
butt dyno's have known to be wrong though.
