I am officially raising the BS flag :bs:
the max milage a gt-s can have, ignoring power losses due to all the pulleys and what not, is 348/464 mi (city/highway)
now it's a given that due to losses from the crank to the wheel + the fact that u are not constantly driving at freeway speeds and must make stops here and there, this claim of urs is :bs:

You said above that you got 451 w/o the pills. Now its 406? thats a big difference. which is it?
What are these "pills"? How do you get them in the fuel? Who manufacturers them? What are they composed of? What is the chemical reaction that causes your engine to somehow burn less fuel? Are they patented? Where are they distrubuted? Any information you could provide besides "Jack's Magic Beans" would be great.

are you serious?? something is seriously wrong then, i average probably about 40-60 miles on bar one. then after bar one, they usually last about 10-20 miles per bar
my only mods are cold air intake, and ported stock header however i just threw that on a week ago, havent tested it for gas mileage yet.

did you crush up the tylenol before you put it in? I think tylenol only works on cars that have creaking noises like aching metal or painful crashes...

These pills aren't BS. A guy that I work with is actually helping to promote these and he used them and got more mileage out of his tank. Now I don't know for sure if they actually do work or if it's just a psychological thing. You may drive more careful with the pills, therefore getting better mileage. The highest mileage I've ever gotten on my GT-S in the city is 355 miles with 2 bars left, that is fine for me.

I consistantly get 450ish on regular driving (390 on winter blend) but then I have the crappiest version of the car. That's city or highway. But then, I don't do the hardcore sitting in traffic only to go 6 blocks in an hour like I did yesterday.
But would these little magic pills really be worth an extra 30 miles to a tank? So you're saving what, a gallon? I'll stick with not risking putting some additive that I don't know what it is or what damage it could cause and pay the extra $3.83 for my gallon of gas.

You do know its illegal to sell indian cigarettes. Like go to jail legal. You are fcuking with Uncle Sams taxes. You can get away with killing people if you have enough money but you will never get away from Uncle Sam and his taxes. You should quit that while u r ahead.

they just indicted some people for those scam "gas pills" or something. i read it online a few weeks ago and laughed at the thought of some douche thinking a pill would improve his mileage. it's just ammonia or some crap.

does he sell that magic vitamin water too? these things are called "scams" by those of us with a triple digit IQ. there will always be some 'tard willing to spend a few bucks on BS, but hopefully none of US are that STOOPID. :whip:
btw- since i put my sri and trd exhaust i go 90 before the first bar drops- granny shifting of course. i'm about 2.5 mpg's up too, 90% hiway driving.

before school ended my round trip commute was about 55 miles and i averaged around 85, cuz i never seem to find cops 90 on the way up and 80 on the way back. i got usualy around 370 miles per tank and thats with 2 bars left over

I consistently get 450+ miles out of a tank.
But my 5 speed GT is strictly driven highway. 1 mile to the on ramp from my house, 1 mile off to work. ~110 highway miles/day. But I'm not grannying it either. Usually going 80mph and I'm not shy with the redline on on-ramps.
Every legitimate study out there has found each one of these gas saving products to be complete BS.
Certainly can't judge by a few tanks. Whether you have a headwind or tailwind, average temps, etc affects your mileage more than any pill.

I heard about these pills too...There was an article in the local paper talking about how some guy improved the gas mileage he was getting on his blazer by 3 or 5 mpg or something like that. In the article they interviewed some lady who worked for a university and tested the pills. She said that there isnt any scientific proof that it works, and may be psychological like celichick2003 said. i dont think the pills work tho...seems like bs 2 me...we would have heard more about them by now if they really worked that well

I've been getting around 380 miles per tank lately. summer I usually get around 425. I would never use those pills in my car. its not worth the damage that could be caused in the long run. I haven't heard of them causing damage but I don't think it's worth the risk.

I don't know. those pills are probably just a hoax. it's just like how people sell spamware for all that spam stuff that people get in their computers.
no bull**** though, I was able to put 520+ miles on my Celica. no pills, nothing; just Cheveron Techron 91Octane. started from the local Cheveron in 29 Palms, zeroed out my millage, and got all the way down to Sacramento, which happens to be about 520+ miles. straight out highway driving and 1 or 2 pit stops which really sucked especially when it came to restroom breaks. not to mentioned, I still have 1 to 2 bars left on my fuel gage. like I said, no bull****!

It's simple, if you took psychology you would know. It's like if you take diet pills, you will eat better and watch your diet more because you think you will be losing weight. If you use the gas pills, you will unconsiously shift at lower rpm's and drive more careful, thus getting better mileage. It's as simple as that.

but uh yaa.. on topic: i drove from new orleans to phoenix (1600 miles or so) with only 3.5 tanks of gas and no problems. however, i have a gt and not a gt-s.

I bought the Celica roof rack and two bike holders, went camping this past long weekend with a car full of tent, grills, food, wife, dog... drove over 500km/310Miles, highway (autobahn) and in/around for 4 days. All on one tank in my 2005 GTS. I don't watch gas mileage, but this car is amazing, esp such a beautiful car with decent hp.
... in other words, keep your pills.

From the Attorney General of Texas:

And billzster already pointed this out. Didn't realize that.
FYI, I regularly get 250-270 out of 3/4 tank. Mostly highway driving ~80mph and through some light traffic. Oh, and this is with warming up about 10-15 min each morning, 2-3 min for each start during the day and 1.5 min turbo timing with the occasional, "Eat my boost you young ricer punk" :gap:
