I am going to look for some good tires to put on my front wheels, I'm only changing the front because I just got 2 new back ones a few months ago when I got a flat but my front ones are going bald... I just wanted to ask if any of you can recommend some really good tires that are still fairly cheap. It would be a big help thanks.

How long do you want them to last?....3000 miles....30,000 miles?

How important is traction to you?

How much are you willing to spend for tires?

Buy the same tires as you have on the rear. How is that a hard choice? I don't understand the purpose of having two different sets of tires on the car unless you have drag radials up front (that's only if you're doing 1/4 miles runs).

The ones on the back are just tires I bought out of necessity to replace a flat I just want to put some actual thought into these ones since I don't necessarily need them but I want them... I allready decided what I am getting though because I looked on tire rack and I really like the Kumho Ecsta ASX since they are really cheap but sill very high quality, and all season.

Isn't it cool for kids to have one red shoe and one blue shoe these days? I thought I saw that somewhere. Thought maybe it was the same with their cars.

lol actually I think it's really weird to have two different kinds of tires and I'd rather not but the tires on the back are nothing special really and I just wanted to get good ones on the front because they matter the most.

I'm glad I got out of high school before that faze hit. I think it might have come into effect right after the whole wearing your clothes with the price tags still on era. :puke:

Tires on the back even in a FWD like Celica matter a lot. Some believe that they are more important than front for handling in turns.

Don't do that. You'll get unpredictable handling esp in the wet.

well I didn't mean they were crap tires there are decent Michelin ones... and they are only about 2 months old... will it actually matter if I have two different kinds of tires?? Right now I have two different kinds and it doesn't seem to matter except that the ones on the front are almost bald and they slide around a lot in the rain (kinda scary)
