I auto-x....been doing it for over 4 years. LOVE IT! We have 2 events this weekend here in Portland at PIR, an event Saturday and an Event Sunday....you guys should come! I know its a ways away, and Northwest Region SCCA prolly has some events closer to you, but if your really itchen to get started right away, come on down!!! Just come early if you are not an SCCA member because the registration is open to members only for the first 30-45mins of being open, and non-member registration is limited. if your running a car thats been lowered, has a CAI, etc, you will prolly be classed in street touring, which means you'd be running in the morning, so youd have to be there by 7am, or you can do a fun run (non-points) morning or afternoon, which starts at 12:00. For more information check out www.oregonregionsolo2.com

fine, setteled, im there. do you think I should put my stock wheels with toyo fz4 215/40/zr16s (kinda high miles) on or stick with my khumo supra712 225/40/r18s(low miles)? I would rather just run the 18s but what do you think would stick best? I also have GC coilovers intake and exhaust. Will you guys be there at 7:00 am? I dont want to show up and be the only celica there at 7:00.

Are you guys going to be there saturday and sunday? I dont plan on running for points of anything. I just want to drive and have some fun. do I still have to be there super early?(7:00)

I am going on Saturday only (Sunday is mother's day), and I will be there by 7am. I am going to be racing on my 17's and Kuhmo's. If you are just racing for fun I wouldn't worry about changing your wheels, although Dominic may think otherwise (He's the experienced one, this will be my first time). I think even though you won't be running for points, you still have to run with your designated class (Which would be street touring for us, since we are lowered with i/e). I'm not sure though.

Just be ready to get in line when the open registration opens for non-members, which will prolly be at 7:45 or 8. Registration opens at 7:30, but SCCA members can only register first. And as for your tires, id just leave the ones you got on right now...ive been doing this a while and i still havent learned much about tires and whats best yet! Ill prolly be trying the race tires next season....if your old street tires are pretty worn, they prolly wont stick as well, so id stick with the Kumhos.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you Lafayette, and sorry I couldn't talk more Dominic, I've felt like complete crap pretty much the whole day today, so I hope I didn't come off a d!ck. In all honesty I wanted to be done as soon as I could to get home because I've felt so sh1tty.
You guys had some good runs, nice work. I'll definitely being doing that again, I'll probably enjoy it more without an upset stomach. :)

Hey, man! No sweat! I had the worst case of having to piss I have had in years when I was doing the announcing mic in the trailer.....I think when I finally got to the pisser i cracked the porcelean. Note to self: Never slam a 32oz'r of Gatorade b4 working or running! It was cool finally meeting you Lafyatte! NIce car, good 1st runs! And glad you had a good time Joe...next time if you get a chance, ride w/ a veteran pax driver....its a hoot! And very educational. Glad to see you had a good coach today..wish i had that kind of guidance when i started..anyways, im gonna head to bed....talk to you all later!
