tt hands down....the rx8 is a huge disappointing mess...only thing worth a damn on that car is its handling capabilities...but then again you got quattro on the audi

Neither.
:stupid:
It would be nice if they had the performance characteristics of the TT under the RX-8 shell. Performance-wise, TT. Appearance-wise, RX-8.
BUT if I had to choose, TT all the way.

I like the RX-8 better. Audi TT is ok just to round for me

TT.... you would drive the rx-8 and just curse mazda for not turboing it everyday you looked at it.

Ive driven both and I would have to say get a rx8 in red even though I am partial to german cars, The tt is a disapointment performance wiseconsidering its turboed. handeling wise they are pretty even. The tt's style has been around for a while and is on the way out. If you arent comfortable reving high than stay away from the rx8. The rx8 has rwd=fun sliding around when you want it... not so much fun in the snow going 55 sliding sideways down the highway.

VW+AUDI = junk. My one friend is into them and he has nothing but problems. Everyday it's something new. Our local VW dealer is always full of cars getting worked on. Rx-8 is a rotary so def no way. I'm gonna have to go with Neither too.

The Rx8 would be fun to drive around than the Audi TT, but lacks power. I'd go with the "Neither" crowd, but since you're asking for either one, I'd take the Rx8... with a small frown. S2000 would be a better alternative for the Rx8.

thanks for all the comments, very insightful. Looks like RX-8 is the better deal since eventually could be turboed if i wanted more power.
S2k is a nice car but I don't want a 2-seater. Would really like a G35 but it's a bit over my budget.

I've always liked the exterior looks on the rx-8, especially with a nice set of 19's. My coworker just bought one and I had the chance to drive it. Handling was a dream, but it's no surprise that acceleration left a little to be desired, and the interior is kind of funky, but is very spacious. He got a great deal on it (23 OTD). Also keep in mind that the 8's fuel economy is pretty dismal.
The TT has always looked like a jelly bean to me on the outside, but the interior is fantastic. I would be wary of german maintenance, and you will pay substantially more for the audi.
If it were me deciding I'd go with the 8.

thanks! yeah i've had for 3 years, it's time for something new. No complains, I love everything the celica has to offer.
stock RX-8 will run a 14.5 @ 96 mph, 13.8 with intake/exhaust/canzoomer - that's by no means "slow", and its certainly as fast if not faster than the TT. The engine is also soo so so smooth - it just revs to 9300 rpm like its nothing, no drama, just power and pull all the way there - not like the laggy TT. Weighing in at 3410 lbs (compared to the 8's 2970) with only 225 hp (compared to the 8's 238), the TT is at a power/weight disadvantage.
Oh yeah, my RX-8 with 8 psi made 360 hp - that's on a $3000 GReddy turbo kit.
Also, the stock RX-8 will run circles around an Audi TT - the 8 is a perfectly balanced, agile car with not just 50/50 weight distribution, but the weight concentrated in the center of the car - conversely, the Audi is not only front engine/awd for ****ty weight distribution, but the weight is far far away at the ends, thanks to the longitudinally mounted Audi engine - the car understeers like a dog. It is a big giant turd.
The TT is a poser car - its a VW Gulf with new skin.
The RX-8 is a sports car, in my opinion the best production vehicle Mazda has made in terms of motorsports performance (and don't get me started on the 7 vs. 8, I've owned them both, the 8 is better)

audi- guaranteed problems.
rx8- jury's out on reliability, looks great-almost bought one. like the suicide doors and rwd.
at the risk of pissing everyone off in here, i'd get a 350z. best bang for the buck.
