Mazda MP3 (turbo)

yup thats right.. the Mazda MP3 and MP5 are soon to be powered by turbonium :).. there was a Mazda Speed MP3 at Carlisle this weekend that looked completely stock until Jason (racinjason) told us to look closer and we found it to be turbocharged. The rep there told us about it, that its 180hp I believe running really low boost. I looked at the brochure and it says the car is running a Garret T25 which is funny because that is what my car came with stock :).. So the tuning potential of the MP3 which I think is already a sweet car just got a whole hell of alot better.. Ashame there is no AWD option :)

We don't get those cars here in Europe. The only sporty mazda available here is the MX-5... The MP3 looks a bit like the Impreza, wich isn't so bad.

yeah I think the MP3 looks really nice.. not a bad car, just lacks in the power department right now

And it's 170HP. Limited production of 2,000 though selling in December I believe. Sucky timing and limited availability. If it is still around next May when I need to get a new car, I would strongly consider it, after the reviews it's handling got.

Yeah the regular MP3 got great reviews for handling. With a chip that car would be blowing us all away.

i used to race touring cars for mazda in indianpolis when i went to school there...maybe i could talk to them again and get one special for me.....haha yeah right..it might happen..\
