If you could paint your car any color...

what would you choose? Sure, if its a common color everyone knows, a word reply will be fine. If its an obscure color, try to provide a pic of the car or other object with the color.

I'm getting a full Kam kit painted soon and I'm thinking about going for the entire car if there's an irresistable color out there and of course if I can find the right price.

This is a pretty soft topic but please indulge me with some good answers.

Maybe kameleon paint? Green-blue would look good, or even purple-black :) Or try to get paint with lots of sparkly bits in it!

Ahh, the skyline purple. I've read of your affinity for this color. I'd like to see that in person. It is distinctive. Damn, the more I look at that car, the more I like it.

if I was to repaint my celica again I would go with house of color's tangelo.... it's a candy orange the color is truley amazing take time to go to a paint store and look at the color or many other house of color's paint selection they are all amazing...go with what you like though not based on what every one else wants make it truly your car

I cant find a photo of it, but it is a really light green pearl and in certain lights it has a pinky-purple in it. I know, really girly.

toss up between Audi TT Gunmetal GREY or the TOP Secret Japan Bronze color or a Burnt Copper all with black wheels of course =)

juicedcelica is right... Anything by House of Kolors... there is not a paint out there better period... well... just stay away from the Kosmic Kandy Apple Red...you don't want that ;)

Orange Glow and Tangelo were my next choices, or something called Galaxy Grey Metallic...It was a hard choice but i found the one... when i get to my next project it's either going to be Galaxy Grey...or there's two new Kandy's coming out... a Baby Blue and somekind of white kandy...

If you could go with Kandy do it...you won't be disappointed...the only time you'll frown is when you look at you bank statement... but then just look at the car again and you'll be grinning ear to ear... only thing bout these paints is since they are on so thick (there's 13 coats of material on my car, not including sealer and primer) that they chip easier than normal paint and color matching is near impossible... also i had to get my paintjob appraised since if i'd get hit in the door or something, the whole car would need to be repainted...

Solid answer. I'm into some type of dark red or dark green. I'm going to check the net for House of Kolors info even if the touch-up work doesn't exactly sound practical for a daily driver. I may have to pick up a Fuego for $500 to drive to work. :burnout:

No no no... Candy Apple Red?! who in their right mind would do that... :D

if you are into greens...that organic green is very tight too...of course it's a candy as well and is the sharpest green i've ever seen...you have to go to a bodyshop to see the book of color swatches...they don't have it on the web because it does no justice to their colors... if you do go candy, make sure you go with their new Kosmic Kandy system as it's much tougher and resistant to scratches and chips...hell...i drive the car year round and it still looks great...just as i said...be prepared to pay, but remember you get what you pay for... expect around 20+hours of booth time not including primering and sealing...oh yea, if the place doesn't have a heated booth to bake thats a downdraft booth with fresh filters go somewhere else...just to forewarn ya...oh yea...if it's really hot...like above 80 in their booth make sure they don't paint it then cause no matter how much reducer and stuff they use, it's prone to "stand up"...

hmmm, i'd definately go with a "khaki-metallic" color (sort of the desert-camouflage the us soldiers have, but metallized).

with black leather seats and fat 20" chrome rims would defiantely "kill" any other car out there. blue, black, green, orange, pink, yellow and all the different nuances of these colors are simply boring, cause every car has those colors.

Well I may be off to Finishline Collision in Prospect Park, PA in a few to talk paints with Charlie. A talk with the master will get me straight on colors :thumbup: ...and costs :thumbdown

i'd say championship white with a blueish purpleish like clear coat kind of thing ... so over all it looks white .. but at angles you see hints of the other color

what your talking about is putting a Pearl in the finish...thats what gives it those kinda effects....and it's very cost effective...
