I have had this topshop deck lid for a while now. I really like the product, but my one complaint is that it makes the most god awful noise going over bumps.

So far I have tried slicing some black vacuum hose and sliding it over the side edges. I have also padded the piece that it rests against on the interior with felt cloth, where it rests when the hatch is closed.

These two mods helped to reduce the noise, but I am still getting noise from the cover. Here lately I have been doing all i can to reduce interior noises in the celly, but this one seems to be beating me.

Anyone care to shed a little light on this? I had considered removing the black cloth on the bottom side and putting a little secondskin down, then spray adhering the black cloth back on there.

I'm open to suggestions, so what yall got?

I did the felt pad cushion thing too, (furniture-leg-stick-on's), it's just a heavier piece than the soft stock decklid, so it makes noise.
Barring clamping it down... maybe one could shorten the strings and make it stay suspended?... dunno, I may give that a shot myself...

Pure CF is. Topshop's pieces are made of fiberglass, and then wrapped in CF. It's just for aesthetics in this case.

It actually might not be making the noise from where it rests since u put all that felt, etc. It may now be rubbing up and down against the back windshield probably because it is raised from all the felt lining you put on it.

oh what i have isn't all that thick, but if you watch it in the rear view mirror, you can see it bouncing really close to hitting the plastic on the hatch.

How could i absorb vibrations there without sticking something obviously noticeable on?
