Would it be worth it to replace the stock speakers on a GT?
I was thinking about replacing the stock speakers and adding an amplified sub.
Also does anyone know of any tutorials on how to replace the speakers?

You can find out how to replace speakers on the website www.ehow.com
And if you dont plan on amplifying your stock speakers, it wont be worth it.

w/o replacing the HU or adding an amp there would be little advantage to replacing the stock speakers. If you are going to go ahead with it search for my name in Audio, I have many posts w/ pics showing how to get access to the spekers.

Thanks for the link but, I know how to wire a stereo sys.
What I want to know is specifically how to remove trimpanels etc, and speaker mounts on the celica so I don`t get any surprises when I start.
I keep hearing the the GTS has decent speakers and are not really worth upgrading if you don`t add an amp.
However this a GT and the stock speakers are total garbage!
A better amp wont help these!

i've done it, we had to take the back seat out in order to get the side panels off. once the back seat's out its not that much trouble.
