I am getting new rims for my 2001 celica gt, and i was just wondering if you guys know if 18*7.5, with a 35 offset will fit my car. Some people say it will and some say it wont. I figure if i get 215-40-18 tires it will fit fine. I like to know your opinion. thanks

Sorry, I guess I shouldn't mess with you too much just yet. Just thought that was funny since you're already in the wheel and tire forum. 235/40/18 would be better if you must have a wheel that big. A 17X8 wheel would be better though.

is 235 how wide the tires are? This guy told me to get 215. I am not sure what that number is. So 235 would be wider then 215?

Yes, that's right.
Don't listen to other people. Nobody knows what is best like we do. I tire shop told me a 235/40/18 on an 18X8.5 +40 offset wheel will never fit on my car, but that's what I have.
They also tried to tell me I should get a +48 offset because that's what their book recommends. Idiots.

Does anyone happen to know if I need to get new lug nuts for the new rims I am getting, or can i use my stock ones. I current have on the stock gts rims.
