2000 Gt-s

Hey, I am new to the NC forumns, I live in ND and have just recently purchased a 2000 GT-S 6spd with 54,000 miles on it. I paid $9500 for it, is that a good deal, and what should i check on the car as far as normal wear and tear, also where can I find the TRD Action package body kit, and TRD Catback exhaust?

I bought my gt-s used too with 45 thousand miles on it. I think it's a good deal. Usually a gt-s is pretty expansive. Just check on the tranny and make sure the clutch wasn't worned out. It all depends on the previous owners history. If he's a racer, you definetly need to replace the clutch. The 2zz engine is great in terms of long lasting. My ride got 75 thousand miles on it right now and still runs like new. And as for the trd action package, you can order it at any TRD store usually located in any of the Toyota Dealer.

isnt it a little late to be asking if its a good deal? what are you gonna take it back and find a newer one? lift bolts and just regular maintence..whatever everyone said too.

That is about the f'in dumbest thing i have ever heard! How in the hell is changing a "shifter" going to keep him from putting it in the wrong gear? The ONLY thing that can keep him from doing that is HIMSELF! Paying attention is all that is required. I drove a MY00 GT-S for 5 yrs and NEVER once came close to mis-shifting even with a B&M Short Shifter installed. People that blame mis-shifts on the vehicle are f'in loosers looking for an excuse.

regular maint is the biggest thing! since you bought it used I would do/have a tune-up on it...you never know how the previous owner took care of the car!!!!

anyway to seven 7 you did goot homie, i would replace the trans oil with soem red line and chage the oil to synthetic and flush the coolant out and then you set for a while.
