View Full Version : VIS invader CF hood ??

a buddy of mine might have a plug on a VIS CF hood for me. I was wondering if any of you have seen or have the NON-OEM VIS hood?!?! ive heard about it but never talked to anyone thats actually seen it (or even a pic of it for that matter)

Ive heard great things about the VIS OEM hood and was wondering how this one is. ive heard of it refered to as the "invader" hood. if i can get more info he might put up a GP for this hood. any info helps.. thanks guyz.

Definitely want to see some pics....I'm waiting on my OEM hood form VIS, but i was offered the invader style for cheaper, and faster delivery... I know that it doesn't have a functional scoop at the back like ours....thats more or less what kept me from buying it.

i was wondering to cause my body shop asked me if i wanted also and i said no cause i aint see it.

hum. that was my other question.. does it have a funcional hoodscoop? (either hood.. OEM or invader) cuz im gettin a cf c-one style from the GP and would hate to have bought it in vain.

is the invader style the hood that was posted as the APC hood a while back? that hood looks perty cool, but ive heard the fit is horific. if it was the quality of the VIS i would buy it.

no its different from APC i got that one but ggettin a new one prolly vis but if the invader looks good i might go with that.

VIS OEM hoodscoop is functional, and the fit is excellent.
VIS invader hood doesn't have a hoodscoop, so there is no functional device to...uhh... no hood scoop! lol

is the VIS OEM hoodscoop detachable??

have you seen the invader hood? can you describe it at all besides CF and no scoop? has anyone actually seen this hood yet?

I have seen the invader hood and i am trying to post pics of it. It DOES have a hoodscoop along with an invent toward the front bumper. The hoodscoop does look fully functional.

hey TRlPPlN: (or anyone else) are you interested in another CF hood?? i have a hook up on VIS but only in the bay area cuz they aren't doing shipping. well.. we're going to socal to pick them up so.. anyone on that route.

does anyone know if either of the VIS cf hoods have detachable hoodscoops?? i have a feeling they dont. if my hoodscoop ever comes in from the gp ill want to put it on the new hood. thx

hum.. definately looks interesting. has anyone seen it on a car? personally i think the celica hood is one of a kind and already a great design. i think they shouldve just built off of that. kinda like apc did. oh well, gues im going with the oem style.

yea, i am. and you? wtf is going on dude!? :confused: i hate when companies take on a gp and cant deliver promply. :wtf: :mad: its one thing if theyre able to tell you off the bat that its guna be a wait but this is crossing the line into rediculousness, i think. well, thanks everyone for the new info. good stuff ;) :thumbup:

depending on quality..i might be interested..im not sure though. im pretty much happy with my FI hood and cf c-one style scoop. hey dude...your from DC right...you should meet up with us on some PR's.

as of now im still stickin with the oem.Id like to see a kaminari hood(the one with the monster hs)for the celica.i dunno mayby if i see a pic of the hood on a celi i might change my mind.I would like to see some more wildly desighned hoods like trhe ones u see on a rx7 or civic

yea, from what i've heard and seen, FI and VIS both make high quality shiot. so i dont think id get rid of my FI either.

yea.. im actually stayin in SF rite now, but close enough. i havent been to the runs in a minute now.. going through some team dramatics. (stupid crap) where do you guyz hold PRs? maybe we can hook up some time.

the hood that has me big-eyes rite now is the veilside hood for the mrs. :AF: with those big azz vents.. just looks sick
