ALERT: Seller Warning (trdgts00)...Everyone Please Read

Hey guys, this is in no way meant to defame trdgts00 but I am kind of getting wary of the situation I'm in with him and would like it if someone could ease my mind. Here is the situation: I bought an AEM CAI from him, sent the money order out to him 2 weeks ago. Here is what bothers me: He says he has not received it yet. I find it highly unlikely for it to take 2 weeks for a money order to reach MD from NY. Second, is that I sent it to a PO Box (usually a shady signal). Third is that his communication through email hasn't been that great. Granted he apologized for his lack of communication, but I still don't have my CAI and he claims not to have the money. What do I do? Anyone have any experience with him? Once again if it actually took my money order that long to get down there then this is all meaningless and I apologize to trdgts00. I just need to know that's the actual problem.

Well with the MO receipt, you can find out when the MO gets cashed. Just give it time and see what happens.. would hate to think it just simply disappeared in the mail. But at least give TRDGT(s00) [edited for u beto] a chance if he's not in the wrong.

Good call by the way for clearing it up that you werent in anyway trying to defame him. Too many times people start labeling others from a little slight they read on this side of the forum.

I got a message from him today explaining the situation. Apparently the post office put the money order in the wrong PO Box and yesterday he had an accident (driving over the box the CAI was in, forgetting to put it in the car) so he says he has sent me a refund money order that I should get in a few days. So providing I get the money order back all is well with him. Don't hesitate to buy from him.

This is the same guy I had problems with. He posted EXACTLY the same stuff under the screen name BMoreCelica. I bought a real TRD wing off the guy. Same thing, communication was real good until I actually sent the money order. Then huge delays and lack of communication. However, I finally did receive the product that he promised. Here is the only catch: the TRD wing I got, while being authentic, is obviously stolen. I wouldn't be surprised if everything he is selling is stolen.

How do you know it was stolen. I think thas kinda harsh to make such an accusation after receiving the product you paid for. Unless the REAL owner came up to you and demand you give it back to him I cant imagine how you could sum up that the item you received was stolen.

OK, how would you remove a TRD wing from a car, get a few screwdriver marks at the base, and break off the four mounting screws that go into the stock wing locations? The way the TRD wing works is that it has four mounting points on each side, two are threaded bolts that have nuts inside the hatch, just like the stock wing. The outer two are just pressed in little fittings that do no more than locate the wing. And the wire for the LED brake light is cut, even though inside the hatch there is a plug for use with that light. Oh, and no third brake light cover, since obviously when you're jacking a wing, you wouldn't waste your time removing that. Satisfied?

And now that I have the thing and have paid for it, what am I supposed to do? Its not like the original owner (who's on the east coast I'm sure) would ever find me. I emailed this guy several times asking where's my damn third brake light cover and he just completely stopped responding to me once he shipped the wing. Would I have bought the wing in the first place knowing that it was stolen? No.

But I see what you mean. Very fishy. Well until we get a response from him. I think we should show alittle restraint and lets see what the deal is with him.

My suggestion for this guy is demand a street address to send the money order to and send it certified, so he has to sign for it. Or a work address. I'm sure the dude doesn't live on the street and has to have a job.

Man I'm lucky I read this. I was about to send this guy 325 for some GTS wheels tomorrow. He was emailing me the details about every 10 minutes . Once I sent him an E mail that he was being flamed and asked what was up with that, all of a sudden no more replies. Hmmm maybe he's busy or what not. Smells fishy to me. Just my 2c.

Chris apparently got in contact with him so lets hope everything's about to get settled with. Apparently an accident took place that destroyed the item to a substantial point that he couldnt send it to Chris. They're two sides to the coin. I'm glad he got the chance to at least get his say in and tell his own side or it wouldve looked very bad.

Ok, I am going to join in on my little bashing party. Ok, a few things first:

- TRD Wing - sorry, thats how I bought it, cant help that you might suspect it was stolen, and even if it was, I got a good deal on it, and so did you, so quite crying.

- As far as everyone questioning about my address, I work in Baltimore, and live about 45 minutes away. I find it easier to use the POBox that I have to stop by every morning for work mail, to be easy.

- Other than that, I dont know what everyones problem is, I am trying to sell some parts, and do it legit.


If you are scared to buy from me, thats fine, and your right. I can list the parts elsewhere or on ebay guys.

Ask him to send it by registered mail at the very least, overnight would be even better. :)

I bought the taillights from him and I got it today. They are in good condition. He got my payment last monday, waited for it to get cleared (money order), and he sent the taillights last friday. I got them today so I'm pretty happy and they're in good condition. Now I just need to get my rear bumper fixed. I know that sometimes he doesn't reply back but just be patient with him. He's trying his best to help you guys.

Okay...the saga is over. I got the money order in the mail today so I repeal the warning on him. Just, if you are in a rush, he seems to be pretty slow with communication so that's basically all the negatives. Who knows what actually happened with the intake, he conjured up some good stories. But in the end, he kept to his word and sent me the money back.

(probbaly home address) and he claimed that he never got it. i had my money order recipt and everything. i go to the post office and trace the money order. it was cashed in baltimore, md. communication between us have stopped ever since the money got lost "he says he never received it" but how did it get cashed. i wouldnt trust this guy.

I also purchased a cold air intake from him and sent him the money order two and a half weeks ago. as soon as a sent the money order, i got no reply from him. before that he was responding every ten minutes or so, now nothing. You should post the address where you ship your money orders, name the paypal email address, or whatever method used to pay. I know its private information, but wtf, this person ****ed some of you over so let the public know. That way, even if trdgts00 changes his sn, trdgts00 would have to find another address to recieve payment rather than the one(s) that he/she is giving to all of you. Trdgts00 said he has a house, p.o. box and a job. Thats three possible addresses. Trdgts00 may have used one or more address for his/her "buyers" to send payment to. That way, if someone recognizes the address they wont send payment.

i dont know you trdgts00, so this isnt personal.

word of advice too, NEVER send to a PO box. request a real mailing address. if the seller refuses to accept payment that way, that's almost a dead giveaway he's fraudulent.

Keep this thread updated if anyone decides to take legal action against this guy. His name is Richard Morris and he says he lives in Baltimore. I found several Richard Morris's listed in Baltimore, so you could start there with the local PD. I will definitely contribute to anything on this guy. What is odd is that he only posted this stuff here. When I was having problems with him, I was checking the other Celica boards and I didn't find the stuff listed there at all.

Seriously though, if this guy is selling stolen parts, then I don't think anyone should deal with him. Even if he didn't steal them himself, do we really want to encourage people to go around ripping parts of Celica's? thought not....

If he claims to not receive your money, it is possible that it gets lost in the mail or stolen by greedy postal workers (to finance the purchase of machine guns and bullets for their shooting rampage).

Either way, I wouldn't be sending money to someone I didn't know throught the post.

Remember - if something seems too cheap, there is probably a reason.
