why not the celica?

ok this is just something i have been noticing, whenever i see a toyota commercial either from toyota the company or a local dealer they never mention the Celica. Tonight for example i saw a local dealer comercial and they talked about practically ever model but the Celica, why is that do you think?

At the moment here in the UK we have Celica adverts on tv :) It features a silver T-Sport, but they don't mention any figures about speed or power. Too bad...

In the generic commercials they will say "and the sporty celica". But in ads that have deals, they wont have the Celica. I believe this is because the Celica is a strong seller (even though it's numbers have dropped off) and they dont have to offer a deal to get them off the lot. The Corrolla is competing against the Civic, and the Camry is competing against the Accord. Those are really tough markets. The Celica competes against the RSX, but who in the "real world" real knows they are the same. The RSX is sold as an Acura, which is higher than Toyota/Honda, at least that is how car ignorant people look at it.

This is what I think.

The Celica is hardly on TV is Simply because it DOESN"T need Advertising!! Easy !!

Good cars needs no introduction or Ads...Not a lot anyway.

All you need to do is look at our 7th Gen Celica and you'll know it's a good car.


Here in Australia, All the Ads on TV with Toyota,Honda..da dada..
never or hardly have the Celica or the Type R mentioned. They have everyother cars except them.

Have you ever seen the NSX or 911 turbo on TV ads ? No here in Australia. Cuz we don't need ads to tell us what good cars are out there.

i'm kinda glad its not on the tv or ads cuz i think a lot of dumb a$$ kids that saw the fast and furious will want it, then the celica might be like the civic,played out NO offense to civics at ALL, then again the more celicas we have out there the more aftermarket support we get,know wat i mean?
