Does anyone have any contact for this member: Julia R.

I was referred to her my a rather stellar member on this site.

She has my parts and my money - almost $300. She's supposed to be doing a CF wrapping job and replied to all my emails just about until I gave her the money...she was supposed to update me daily then ghosted and I havent heard from her in 10 days. She has not replied to any of my emails. Her PMz are not working because I think Larry turned them off for her advertising products without being a site sponsor.
Hoping that someone here knows her and can verify that she's good for it or can provide me with a direct contact like her phone number.

I really would hate to result to rash tactics like having my cousin and his friends visit the address she provided or contacting my credit card to get my money back...and having my cousin visit her to get my parts back.

All help would be greatly appreciated.

i've had an experience similar to yours, but with another seller, not her. the seller ended having been on a business trip and didn't respond to any of my messages for over a week. she might be going through something right now that prevents her from responding to you. if u paypal'd her, i believe you have a window of 45 days (look it up to be sure) before it's too late to file a complaint. just keep trying to ask around about her in the meantime. and good luck!

update: she emailed me back finally and told me she had was unable to get online due to her pc crashing.
she also wrote that she is waiting on some resin and other things to come in but she's about finished with my parts.

Julia's awesome. I havn't dealt with her on her carbon fiber wrapping, but I have done business with her before and everything was great. Fast reply to PM's, she even called to check up on me, which impressed me (not gloating, but I've literally bought many thousands of dollars of parts on this site and I can count on one hand the times I've been checked up on with a phone call).

I can understand being a bit impatient, but 10 days is a bit of overkill -- in my personal opinion.

got mine back last week. was ok but thats all i can say. she was reclearcoating my fibercation pieces and didnt turn out to well. very thick clearcoat (which fibercation didnt do) but needed wetsanding and buffing bad. so i spent liek 2 hours doing that and it turned out good

I feel like all I ever hear is "they'll ship out on Monday", or some variation of that. She's had my parts since April, and I must have heard this line 5 times at least. I understand it takes a long time to make these, I understand she's overwhelmed with orders, and I understand she has a life outside of this. But what I can't tolerate is being told they will ship out multiple times across the span of 3+ months with nothing to show for it. Just tell me you're still working on them, or tell me you haven't had the time to work on them, but don't tell me what I want to hear unless it's actually happening that way.

No they don't. We use DHL here at the office. As the shipper, I have to print out a sender's copy to keep for my own records. I always print that out so that I can locate a package if the recipient doesn't receive it in a timely manner. If she did in fact ship it out, she should've printed the receipt because if something were to happen to your package it will be hard to track it down.

utterly stupid - installing a turbo kit yourself when you're too stupid to even know how to install an intake but doing it anyway simply because you wanted to cut costs. THEN taking the fugged car to a shop to FIX the mess when you should've taken it there to INSTALL the damn turbo in the first place.

So that would mean based on your original post that 2 weeks have passed since she shipped my stuff out and I still have nothing to show for it. DHL does not take 2 weeks to ship from Ohio to NY. Even if they rode it here on horseback I'd still have it by now. This sucks.

There's many alternatives: library's, internet cafe's, college campus, freinds. I've had computer issues before and none of them stopped me from getting online at least once a week.

She said she would drive down here and bring me all the rest of my parts next weekend. I am giving her 2 weeks to get me everything looking really good or I am gonna get the cops involved and I am going to sue her. It sucks it has come down to this, but this is my last chance with her.

hello everyone. i am in the almost same or similar situation as everyone that is dealing with julia here. im not really 'apart' of this forum, but i was referred to her by a celica owner. im not sure if anyone knows who im talking about but i know johnny ngo with the yellow widebody celica and mo khan with the boosted silver celica.

anyway, i sent payment and mirror covers to julia a little over a month ago and have been getting the same responses as everyone else...the computer crashing, the new job, the parts being shipped, and what not. she did not provide me with pictures of the finished product or a tracking number for that matter. she told me she shipped my parts out last saturday. so far it has been 6 days and im going to assume that my parts should have arrived already or will arrive today or tomorrow...but as of now...nothing yet.

In all seriousness, you were way too nice and forgiving towards this girl.

None of it makes sense. This chick used to respond to my PM's and emails in less than a day's time. She even sent me pics of my center console wrapped in CF to tease me with. I just dont get it. She never fit the profile of a scammer until allgen went down. Things started getting shaky ever since then.

i got a tracking number as well. she lied about getting my parts wednesday and she actually shipped them out that day. i had to go to the junkyard to get 2 oem mirror covers that cost me $215 total in order to have mirrors for HIN LA this saturday. the mirror covers were wrapped incorrectly looking at the pic. she left one side of the mirror covers unwrapped and painted black. when i confronted her about it in an email, she ignored the situation completely. if im lucky, i can return these stock mirrors with a restocking fee. i dont understand why it took so long when i shipped my parts out to her late may/early june.

overall, this was a pretty bad experience for me full of unfulfilled promises, lies and horrible communication. i wasted a lot of energy on her and i now wasted money to buy something that i already had. i already missed 2 shows i was supposed to participate in and each one of those shows, i let her know that i needed them asap. id say theres a 1% chance that id do business with her again.

I think you're right. You might have been the first one to conduct business with her after Dan received those AC vents. I know me and Matt (blitzceli) sent out stuff a few weeks after.

im going to try to contact julia again to either send me my money back or rewrap my mirror covers. i think i could have done a better job and her work on my mirror covers looks rushed. im extremely disappointed and would not consider putting these on at all the way they stand. i had to buy oem stock black mirrors at a junkyard for 200 bucks total. i spent 140 to have my original silver ones wrapped...so even if i tried to sell the wrapped mirrors for 140, id still be down 200 because of the replacements i bought.

EDIT: Julia replied to me promptly after I emailed her and she is offering to rewrap my mirror covers so they are show worthy. She admitted that she rushed on my parts and she is offering to pay for shipping both ways and daily pictures and updates. I emailed her back agreeing to her efforts, but I just hope the 2nd time around goes more smoothly than the first. I'll keep everyone updated...

Yes, I received everything she owed me on Tuesday. I would have updated this thread sooner but I have been away since then. I am far from impressed from the quality of work. I honestly wish I never sent her anything at all after seeing the results. The only items worth keeping are the AC vents and spark plug cover. I'm going to sell everything else off on ebay once I find suitable replacements. The console and gauge shroud has spraypraint covering her mistakes, as well as chips in the CF. The CF on the moonroof control panel is peeling off as well. I hope you have better luck than me.

Yeah, the piece seems a bit wavy, not flat. It's not that bad actually, at least compared to the rest of the stuff she sent.

I will when I get a chance. There's also a lot of clearcoat drippage on the center console and gauge shroud. It looks a lot like the Fibercation products people have been receiving lately.

i've had mine bolted on maybe a week...and its already getting these white spots starting to show up. I might just put it on for shows only, but my valve cover trim is cf and its never done anything like that.

It could be what ever she used to hold down the cf. ie glue? resin? Once it heats up it like cooks and reacts with the heat, showing through the resin and cf, forming a defect.

BTW mine looks ok has some clear defects, but not noticable when installed due to where the part is located. Im still waiting on the cf vents. (she said they have been shipped usps)

She tries to play it off like she just took on too many orders, yet she has time to wrap her entire roof and trunk with carbon fiber, get a supercharger and install it, and sell all of these parts on ebay

heres an update and not a good one though...

after agreeing to redo my mirrors because they were horribly done and she even admitted it, i sent them back to her address that she originally gave me. i wait and she finally gets back to me saying that she received them and that she would get started on them right away. her communication was great until after that email which was aug 30. 2 weeks and 4 unreplied emails later, i stand with still nothing...no phone calls, email responses, completed parts, etc. i tried calling her phone again and as someone mentioned, her phone is not accepting incoming calls, which i find very shady.

i have 2 mandatory shows coming up in 2 weeks and im not going to have any mirrors for them at this pace. that is 100 bucks down the drain and possibly some problems with the sponsors.

anyway, i know she can and most likely reads all this because she told me she saw my post of pictures and she even told me to edit my post to let her fix what she had done. it was a noble attempt, but now she's at it again. i dont understand any of this...

It's a four hour drive each way. If she doesn't get me my parts pre-approved and in show quality by the court date, she's going to have to drive all the way here and lose anyways. I'm not sure how it works in other states, but it's def. something to check out.

I found myself lucky to get back anything at all. I am going to sell off all the parts I won't be using on ebay. At least I'll be able to get some of my money back. The court date has been set for two weeks now and is on October 20th so she has just under a month left to get me everything and settle out of court. She has not contacted me at all though so I guess she is planning on driving here for court :shrugs:

I'm posting my findings here so that all parties contemplating litigation may benefit:


A class-action suit is one defined as brought by one party on behalf of a group of individuals all having the same grievance. Also, if the court were to approve the class-action, they would appoint counsel after which award of attorney fees will be settled.

That being said, after researching the topic, I've found that the size of our grievance party does not warrant such a lawsuit considering legal fees and the potential division of a monetary settlement. Therefore it will be in our best interest both legally and monetarily to pursue independent claims from the defendant (Julia).

It is unfortunate that something like this has to occur however small claims court seems like the best avenue to take for each of us - Good luck to all those involved in this fiasco...

I guess we do learn something new everyday..... I finally got a hold of here through email... She said she dropped sultans stuff, min and the guy with the honda mirrors off yesterday/this moring. I forgot, which it was. I got the email this morning and on remember a few lines of it. At the bottom she boldly stated no more waiting on the parts they have been shipped. I guess we will have to wait a few days to see, knowing her she shipped parcel which could take up to 2 weeks! Only reason Im not filing is b/c it is just a set of vents. The notice was sent out on 09/12. Worst case the court date is a week or two after the original court date. If she doesn't show I get what I am asking for.
