Anyone know of an H3 bulb that might match 6000k HID's? I just got them and get Blue Vision bulbs for the fogs... Unfortunately the Bluevision bulbs are practically white compared to the HID's. Anyone know a goof replacement for the fogs and possibly the highbeams and parking lights?

Thanks

piaa plasma blues are really blue. i say go with the super plasmas...they come out with a purple tint. the xtreme whites are superwhite with a small tint of blue.

I'm with skamikaze, I have those super plasmas in my fogs and they look white with a hint of purple and blue. Good for most HID's, except mine which are the K2 6000K Crystal White. Those HID's are too purple. But I'm sure with a standard HID kit (blue/white, super white) it'll look good. I'm ordering the blue/white HID bulbs shortly.

Cool... I think I'll try the plasma blues first then, my HID's are REALLY blue. If they don't work out then I guess I'll go with the super plasma.

Thanks. :)

kaioshin, jus be prepared to pay double for the plasma blues unless you have a japan hookup. piaa usa doesnt sell the blues so you would have to buy them through a importer. piaa usa does have the H3 in ion yellow, xtreme white, platinum white, and super plasma lines tho.

I gave up in that search. I tried damn near every bulb under the sun. It really doesn't matter the color, it's just the output of the HIDs dwarfs the light of any normal halogen.

:werd: altho im positive the super plasmas will do good. i just gave up because i never use the fogs anyways...the HIDs are bright enuff.

Yeah, I'm sorta debating on whether or not to just remove the fogs or not. Guess it will depend on how much those bulbs cost. :)

Oh I noticed a problem with my HID's last night. It was real foggy and I noticed a beam of light shooting off my right headlight. It wasn't pointed in the normal direction. Kinda shot up and further to the right. It was clearly visible in the fog and I didn't notice it from the other side. Does anyone know what is going on and how I can fix it?

does anyone know where i can get the piaa plasma blue bulbs cheaper than they sell them normally?

The light beam thing is normal.....unless you mean it is different than the usual 'eye spots' you get with the HIDs. I have em all the time. It looks like you have antennae on the front of your car in the fog!

that's it exactly!!I saw that on the driver side too, but they didn't stand out like the one one the passenger side. and it only came off the passenger side headlight. Maybe it's outta alignment or something? anyone know how to align the headlights?

There is one company on the web that sells HID kit... but they also have HID H3 custom kit setup you can get from them.. lost the link to that website.. you might do a search.....

just get yellow ion fogs! since whatever you do you wont be able to get close to HID color, might as well go as far as that color as possible! go for the Lexus look!

Fool! I told you there is no hope!

Short of buying another $500 HID system for your fogs, which is a ridiculous idea because the fogs do nothing compared to the HIDs anyway...you're best bet is the yellow thing pokgai suggested.

hmmm... I guess it's time to rip out the fogs then. Joe you win. :)

Strider01, taking off the front bumper is really easy. Don't sweat it.
