besides playing games.... and watching UMD Movies... you can listen to MP3's and view photos... and yes.... you can surf the web also... PSP has built in WiFi...

i know how to rip DVD's and convert them to MP4 format so that i can save it on my PSP and view them... so much better that way!!

thats what i do instead of buying umd disk i have 3 movies saved at a time(2gb stick)
i even have the celica meet vids on it so i can show the entire world how kool we are hahahahahaha

You can even play Nintendo roms and I think Sega roms on it too. There's a lot of "homebrew" stuff you can do it.

If you have the current version firmware, they now make a downgrader to set it back to version 1.5 which is the PSP firmware that can do all these little program type stuff.
