View Full Version : Hydrolic Hood Lifts...

I'm thinkin of tryin to put hydrolic lifts on my hood. Has anyone tried to do it. It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to do. And it shouldn't cost much either.

i don't think there is much space for those, unless you custom fabricate some. would be tite though.

I was thinking about that too. I noticed on our RX300, the hydrolic lifters are rather small. There are two of them, one on each side of the hood. I think if one were to make one, it would have to properly raise the hood to its highest, and at the same time close without too much resistance. I would like to see it done, and I would think it wouldn't cost much. Probably take some time and thinking. I would do it, but I don't know much about welding or puncturing bolts.

uhhh .. question: we can't push our hood downs.. we have to drop themm.. so how are we gonna close it with the hydrolics??
i wished we can just push our hoods down.. i hate slamming the hood of my baby celica. :)

not really, just a straight push down and that's it.....
