Cliff Notes: Wow. One of the best times I've ever had.
Summary:
Friday-
Jiame (2001RedGTS) and I left Nebraska towing my Celica behind my 4Runner.
Saturday-
Pass by the Carlisle show just as everyone was leaving. Damn!
d
Drop the Celica off in Reading, PA at World Electronics and check out Chris's White Supra. 750 hp at 32 lbs of boost! The car is a total sleper too!. Nothing but old school OZ rims.
Arrived at the Hyatt in either Trenton or Englishtown, NJ
Sunday Morning-
Greated by Christian and the rest of the World crew at the hotel. Find out that the Celica isn't going to run since the RPM read out was set up wrong by TRD and during a test burnout that registered a revmax of 4K, the car was actually revving to 8k and the clutch tore itself apart.
We make it to Englishtown Race Park about 11:30 and meet up with Jay in the pits where LeeRoy and the drag Celica are setup. My god! The car is beautiful. In the same 30'x60' pit area was the SARD Supra, Craig Paisley and his Supra, and the HKS Silvia. I thought to myself. "Hey, I drove that car in Gran Turismo 2!" Heh heh. One of the meanest cars I've ever heard.
I called my boy Dee back home (TRDee5330) to have him post in the tri-state area forum about setting up a meet. I wanted to meet some Celi owners from the East Coast. Dee posted to have everyone meet at World, cuz I figured that's were I would be all day the next day.
Here are the shots I took.

I spent most of the day watching pro's tear up the strip, looking at a few pimped rides, and watching nice asses sway from left to right. There were honnies everywhere. I took video of everything. I saw the Turbonetics Celica run 202 mph and Christian and the rest of the World crew immediately jumped the wall and joined the team in the celebration. After a full day of watching some real dope races and getting my ass sunburnt to a crisp, I joined the rest of the team in towing the car out to an open area of the track for a TRD photo shoot. I decided to grab some pics myself and make the following wallpaper. If you're a Rado fan, you'll like it.

Feel free to use it if you like.
After all the fun, it was time to work. Jiame and i got to feel what it's like to be a member of the crew loading the car up and getting everything ready. I have to say even though we worked herd, it was a hella fun. I could do that every week.
Then we went out to dinner with with the Skunk2 guys. I talked to them and I might be sending out my head, cams and such so they can start development of parts for the 2ZZ. I just want to see parts produced, ya know? Those guys were really cool to get along with and the night was close to over.
That night on the way out to Christian's crib, Jiame and I were in my 4Runner and Chris was in his Sequioa. I had to race him. We hit the gas already doing 60 each. He walked me easily and don't you know Jiame got it all on tape. Next time I'll have a turbo charged Celica with 400 hp to play with, so if he's not in his supra, I might have a chance :)
He has a pretty nice place. His couches were so soft, Jiame and I flipped for who got to sleep on the couches and who got the guest bedroom :D You know I got them.
Monday:
I helped load some misc equiptent from Chris's garage and got to see his toys. His black drag Supra about brought tears to my eyes. The car looked so dope, but was missing the 2J. Then later that day, we got to see where it was. It was in a crate that just got back from TRD. **yummy** The rims that are going on that car are badass. They are about $3000 a piece forged HRE rims. The rears are 13"s wide!
Jiame and I gutted my Celica to get it ready for the coverings in black vinyl and locked her up. We chatted with Chris before we left then met up with Eric Bungo (PaCelicaGTS). We chatted for a while then we went to Philly for some steak and cheese. They were so good, we grabbed 3 more for the road. We also met up with Mike (forgot his screen name) and talked about Celica crap for a while. After that, it was another 19 straight hours back to the middle of no where. :(
I'm telling you, the trip was so much fun, even if it was for only for a few days. These guys are family to me and I love to share my experiences with all my friends on the board. I hope you enjoyed. :D
