hey guys-

Well unfortunately it looks like im going to have to part with my celica. We had some trouble in the snow with it this past winter, so the 'rents are saying its gotta go (to be replaced by 4wd or awd). So about the car:

-2000 GT-S auto (i know, i know...its slower than a manual, but for practicality, it works just fine, and M mode is still fun.)
-129k miles (a bit high, but it is a toyota)
-Leather
-Sunroof
-stock spoiler
-Interior is in AWESOME shape for this year and mileage.
-The exterior is in decent shape, but does have some wear and tear, as any car of this age/mi. should. Has some scratches, a couple door dings. The major issue with the exterior is that it has one minor dent on the front pass. fender from a very minor fender-bender that occurred this past winter. Again, this is a minor issue and is easily fixed, we just havent had the time (or money) to deal with it.
-Just had new potenzas put on this past fall.

I will be taking some pics tomorrow to put on here. I kinda want to do this auction-style, so shoot me some offers and i'll get back to you asap.

thanks,
ryan

according to KBB.com, your car is worth $5K - $6500 due to mileage and the dent in the car that will need to be fixed... Not to shoot you down...but that's the truth...

hmmm, well considering that ive already been offered almost $7000 for a TRADE from a DEALER, and dealer trade in value is always considerably less than private party value, im thinking i could fetch at least that much for it by selling it myself. I have it up on ebay as well, but i havent had any serious offers. Basically im looking to replace it with a 1st gen. honda cr-v, and the ones ive been looking at are anywhere between $6-$9k. The parents refuse to take out another loan, so i to get enough from the celica to pay cash for a cr-v (i think i could swing $1k-$1500 more than i get from the celi). Thing is, i still owe about a grand on the celi. Sh!t.

just checked the nada guide value...the average retail value is $10,700 for a 2000 GT-S with 129,600 miles. Remember, that price is AFTER the mileage adjustment. Ive had the repair cost for the fender estimated at $300. I thought this was a good deal, so I'll allow $500 for this repair. That still leaves $10,200. I'll even take off $2k for any other cosmetic issue, and thats very generous. Still leaves $8200. Sorry guys, but im not in a major hurry to sell this car, and theres no way im letting it go for $5k.
