Civics were not meant to have turbos, so I don't doubt the engine could be doing some nasty stuff on f/i. As for the GS-T, any car can sound like crap when the guys favorite stores are Pep Boys and Autozone.
Take a ride in my friends '93 Talon TSi, it puts all Honda and Celica exhausts to shame. Plus, his actually gains a sizeable amount of power, not the 4hp something we get :(

but its like a majority of them! they seem to be taken care of but it just sounds like theres a something dancing on their cylinder walls or something.,.

I've never heard a civic with a turbo, people around here must be too poor to afford them or something. Either way...civics should be for 35 year olds going grocery shopping.

i was at a stop light beside a turbocharged rx-7.....latest model.....
the idle sound sounds kinda funny..... its like the rpm is reving up and dropping slightly..... but when when driven in motion, it sounds so so sweet cuz i hear the BOV

Thats my point he has that attitude twords the Civic. He called it a grocery getter. Yet his Auto GT-S is also a grocery getter more so than a turbo civic. Thats my point.

turbo's on non turbo cars sound different.. they are deep but sometimes sound harsh like stuff is breaking, but its not :)
turbo cars exhaust like mine pretty much sound the same.. they are loud and deep rumbles.. i love the sound myself :)

celica is a sports car..bottom line
civic is an economy car meant for women to take the kids to school and get groceries..turbocharged or not
v6 mustangs, meant for women who want to look cool
its the demographics. id take a slow ass auto GT-S over any civic anyday.

true true..but itll look NOO WHERE AS GOOD looking as your eclipse..plus you can run about 300+ horsepower on stock internals on the gst and run about 23psi on the stock turbo and still be safe cant ya? kinda hard to get reliability on a non turbo car..
theres a guy at the si club forum i think its www.clubsi.com and he has a black 97 hatchback with the b18c5 (type r motor, b18c1 is the gsr) and he runs 13.6's in the quarter mile..

I'm being honest over here :) the motors got some decent potential to it, and has a nice aftermakret to it, and all that, but lets be honest, Ford didnt design the car to run 9's anytime soon.

Oh, well I was thinking more about the "women who want to look cool" part ;) but hey, you have fun working on it, right? Same situation here, but with a slushbox to boot :( I'm thinking VR-4 motor swap :D

I cant make up my mind about this car..its like a semi-psycho gf, some days you wanna dump her, other days you wanna **** her.
was thinking H/C/I and an easy 280hp for around a grand, then was thinking of how ugly working on a motor can be, and was thinking 7psi procharger setup and over 300hp for 3 grand..then was thinking Cobra, which my mom shot down on me for the second consecutive time..now im thinking maybe a used 99 GT...
in the end, whatever it is, it won't be any slower. :)

Why so much hate against the civics? I don't have a civic or anything, but I do own and integra GSR soon to be turbo, and an IS300. There are nothing wrong with civics and for the popular beliefs they are not getting a little bit more performace upgrade from factory than the usual civic you see back in the day with 100hp. Civics have come a long way as did the Celica's. Bottom line why can't everyone just get a long. You guys are just mainly biased cuz you own a celica.

cuz they're about as built for speed as a bread box.
unfortunately, people consider engine swaps "normal" in honda tuning.

it was NA so i had to modiy it to so the direct down pipe which was where the headers were, so i got the most efficent gain from the turbo so there was the least about of lag so the there were "headers" there with the after market turbo
it was my baby blue rice roquet now mom and dad says no mods on the car and no one can drive it except me and myself and I with the celica
