celica gt-s or wrx?

I'm going to post the same question I posted at I-club.com.

I have both a 2002 WRX and a 2002 GT-S both with manual transmissions. I was wondering wich one you guys would start modding. My friend drove both and said that he would choose the GT-S, everybody on i-club said he was crazy. So what are your opions on this subject?

Depends entirely on what you want. Do you want looks? Then pick the one that YOU like best. Do you want the best performance? Then definitely get the WRX. Do you want the better modability? Again, the WRX takes it. On paper, the WRX is just a better car in most respects. Drive both though, and you may fall in love with the Celi like so many of us:)

I already have a favorite, I just wanted to know what you guys thought. It's about performance first then looks. If it were all looks the celica would win hands down. But when my friend said he would mod the GT-S he was talking performance. I know the GT-S has better braking and cornering stock vs stock, but what are the other advantages of going with the celica?

No way... if you are talking performance, definitely mod the WRX. You'll get so much more gains outta the mods you buy. Definitely more bang for the buck. Besides, what's more fun in a rallycross????:D :D :D

WRX = Cheap all performance
GTS = Semi-Performance and Look......... period

Good question but performance has two main aspect. when you say performance are you refering to straight or handling aspect.

handling wise, I would go on and mod the celica and the wrx for the other.
