I just stopped by ProMAX here in Tacoma to fill up my bottle, and it was really nice to look at some of those classic domestics...
67 Mustangs, GTOs, Challengers, Monte Carlos, and whole slew of other cars...
Anyways, it got me really thinking about why you buy a car. Looking at those cars, it's obvious, that although almost all of them can be made to be fast for little dough, owning them in their own right is a pleasure in itself.
As I walked along the row of cars, staring in at their all leather seats, and polished exteriors, lovingly restored, it really filled me with a sense of appreciation for the owners that put so much hard work into restoring them.
It's not that they're the most stylish, the most powerful, or the most luxury laden vehicles...it's just that the car itself, is something someone enjoyed for what it is.
A beautiful piece of machinery that you can call your own.
And what made that trip even more special, was that after filling up my bottle, and walking back to the car...a couple of guys milling about, asked me what I was powering with my nitrous...
They followed me out to my car, and were enthralled with it. They loved it, they said it was a really great car. They looked at my engine, they checked out the nitrous install, checked the interior out, and even chatted with me as I re-installed the bottle.
Man, after walking around in that showroom with cars in PRISTINE condition, and yet walk outside and have people STILL admiring your car..
Welps...that's a wonderful thing.
