I'm considering getting in on the Zaino group buy that Pro Tools Kid has going, and for what I'm looking at it would be about $65 in Zaino product. I have a spectra blue car that has some nice swirl marks covering the whole car. I'm looking for people with experience with the Zaino system to tell me whether I should get the stuff or pay for a professional detailing.

I'd try the Zaino. What the hell it only $65, that's not really gonna break you is it? My neighbor uses it on his black Viper and swears by it. I can say that it does look like glass after a few coats. I consulted him about the swirls that I have on my Spec blue and he said that most will be covered up by the zaino. (there are 2 spots where I scrubed bird crap too hard and got scratches) If it can't do it by itself then a pro job will get you to a good starting point to use the zaino in the future.

I say go for it.

No Jesse, get the Zymol system, the awesome products that are really easy to use and they make wax specific for Japenese cars. You remember how my Celi looked right? That was all Zymol. :)

Go for the zainos. If you go over to clubrsx that's all the rage. Plus the Zainos will last up to six months.

Zymol is all that, I'm sorry but some guy over at the nsx forum did an experiment to see which one was the best and Zainos won hands down.

I've tried Zymol too, and IMO Zaino is easier to use, lasts longer, and with multiple coats also has a better shine. I've been using the stuff for over 4 years now and after trying everything else before then, I ain't switching to anything else! :)

If you car has a lot of swirling though, it may be best to first use a product designed to take out those swirls, not just cover 'em up. 3M Foam Pad Polish works great, but is best applied with an orbital polisher and with a bit of care.

Meguire's Gold Class Wax and Swirl Reducer...also to not have as many "swirls" don't put it on in a circular fashion...just back and forth...and remove the same way...oh yea...for touching up the shine, or at shows...look for Diamond Sheild...it's a great polish that could be put on in direct sunlight...can't beat it...but, it doesn't last since its a polish...just about 2 hand washes maybe 3...
