Radar/Laser Detector/Locator: Valentine One

Bearcat BCT-12 Scanner/HP Mobile Extender detector:

Active Radar Jammer: Phantom RCD XP
http://www.tigerlilyproducts.com/radar_jammer.htm
These are the best products available. You can also get premium laser jammers and anti-photo lenses from Tiger Lily. Tiger Lily does not sell or endorse BS products like that Rocky Mountain Radar BS "passive" fake jammers (they only Jam when placed NEXT to the gun, that's how they make their claims)
Mike
Tests conducted by radar test have finally found a laser "jammer" that is truely effective.

Radertest.com did a review of 3 "laser jammers" and one of them actually worked really well. The Lidatek Laser Echo scored a perfect score (50) on blocking laser. It blocked 3 different laser "guns". On top of that, its very easy to install. Total score of 92.

I think the Valentine Radar is over-rated. It is a good radar, but for a very high price. Let me ask you this, when you see your Radar go on, does it really matter where it's coming from? It doesn't matter to me where it's coming from, all that matters is that it's out there and how far away it is.
The most I'm going to spend on a radar is $300.00. The two is recomend is Passport 8500 and the Bell 980. Both right at 300.00. I believe those two beat out valentine one in all the tests for less money.
Bell 980:

This radar picks up the KA signal 40,000 feet away.
Passport 8500:
<IMG SRC="http://www.radartest.com/images/8500.gif" border=0>
This thing can track up to 8 signals and shows the strength of the signals.
I believe the farthest a cop can get you is about 600-800 feet, and they have to be able to say what type of car it is first. I could be wrong, I'll check on it some more
Laser Jammers, too expensive, and not many cops, or sherrifs have them. All you really have to watch out for are instant-on radars. I also heard the old VASCARs are coming back.

get the passport 8500...... best for the money.. and has the greatest range ... i believe its even better range wise than the valentine 1... the valentine 1 just has the bogey counter and the direction the radar is coming from.....the range on the 8500 is spectacular... its saved my ass soooo many times

i'll be ordering my scanner withen the next weeks, we disscussed how helpful this would be a few weeks ago. Anyone know if that's a good site to order it from? Also I can't decide if i should go with the 7 model or the 12 model?

I did a test a long time ago here on nc.org before the forum was reset... i bought both the 980 and the v1 (the escort8500 wasnt out back then)... i preferred the 980 in police detection.. i ran them separately but under very similar conditions... I returned the v1 and kept the 980

alright thanks i like the 8500 also but im going to get the 12 model scanner i believe karim it seems to look less like a scanner and semms like that might be a good thing?
getting pulled over with a radar detector would be bad enough must less a detector and a scanner
