Can someone please tell me what "power shifting" is? I know about double-declutching.

Well I noticed that alot of people have different definitions of these shifting techniques.

But here are the 2 definitions that I hear all the time

The most commonly definition of powershifting is basically keeping your foot on the gas or WOT and never letting up while you shift. So basically instead of letting off the gas, pushing clutch, shift and clutch out and pressing on the gas, you ALWAYS are on the gas. While this method may be fun and seem cool, its not recommended because of the damage it can do to your drivetrain because of the sudden amount of power being dropped onto the drivetrain.

The other definition I have heard of but dont hear much is that people shift without using the clutch. But if you hear "powershifting" it usually means not letting off the gas.
