My friend just got an 02 GT and it has this trim along the front and back fenders; i guess to prevent from parking lot damage when other people open doors. He wants to know if there's any way to remove the trim. The trim is body color, but we think it'd look alot better with it removed.

bump

Do any new GT owners know how to remove the fender trim?

If it isn't screwed into the panels (which it shouldn't be), you could probably use a hair dryer or heat gun to soften the glue holding it on and just peel the trim off. Kinda like debadging.

Good idea. Has anyone else tried this with successful results?

I don't think so. It should be body colored. But my friend just grapped one end and started pulling until it all came off. Looks very clean now. :)

What trim? I own a 2002 GT as well and I have no clue what you are talking about. I guess mine didn't come with any trim?
