i need the info on how u got ur '02 shift gates in ur '01 model ( and maybe ur VIN so i have proof to give to toyota corp). i blew my engine in Aug01, and they didnt replace my gates, im asssuming they were supposed to replace it? need some info pls

The shift update wasn't available in August of '01. If memory serves that TSB came out sometime this fall... I wanna say maybe mid or late Sept.... but honestly I would go drive a 02 before I complain if I was you. I actually prefer the old shift pattern myself.

I just double checked. The print date was Sept. 14th. - and that means teh dealers probably din't actually pick up on it and start doing it till like October.
