Mostly for people who are scared to buy stuff of ebay but i bought this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Oil-Pressure-temperature-gauge-adapter_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ46100QQihZ017QQ itemZ270014360181QQrdZ1 and it actually came with an adapter for hondas as well, or that might be lexus not to sure. but it worked pretty good except that you pretty much can only use 2 of the holes since one is against the block and you cant get to it. Plugged my oil pressure and turbo feed line into it.

just cant understand how you can run an oil cooler with that since to my knowledge pressure is being exerted to both ports. How is the oil supposed to circulate through the cooler?

Have the same one. Did you use thread locker on it the threads and silicone gasket on the seals?? Otherwise I figure it has a good chance of screwing off when you try to take off the filter.

The sandwich plates for coolers have integral passageways for the oil. They're basically the same as the way the oil moves in/out of the filter. In thru the middle and out the sides or vice versa...I can't remember

yes true but you hook the oil cooler to the 2 holes which are both on the outside, theres no way to hook it up to the middle passage way.

I too bought this same sandwich adapter. I got it off of GT211 if I recall correctly. Fits like a charm /w no issues (other than the port to the side being useless).

you guys with the same one, run your turbo oil line of it to? or still use the T connector

I got the same one! It works sjust fine and I like it. I've plugged my oil pressure and temp sender on it. Watch out for your oil preesure sender too, it looks like it might brake because of the weight of it. I've use a stainless steel braided like to remote mount it on the chassis. The line was made custom locally ..

However, if you would have turned the sandwich adaptor clockwise during installation from under the car, you would make room for the third hole to be used. Like an "all available" woman you know :) It's weird that no one noticed it!

Also, teflon is needed on those threads to make sure there is no loeak..

VladsGTS,

Did your adapter come with the threaded caps to seal off the unused holes? I'll probably get this, but I'm only going to be running oil pressure off of it for now.

Which one of the 3 holes did you end up screwing?

Autometer recommends you isolate the sender from the engine block if it revs over 6k rpm, IIRC. You may want to check the install instructions on your gauge to make sure you don't toast it.

I used the two that are next to each other (1 for the oil temp, 1 for oil pressure). The one that is by itself sits next to the pan I covered up with one of the included caps.

Yep. That is what I did. I had a shop in town manufacture a stainless line and remote mounted the sender unit up top. If you do mount the sender on the "T" at the bottom near the filter, the vibrations will more than likely snap off the "T" and your oil will drain out.

Thanks. To be honest, my autometer directions were pretty much useless IMO. I thought a company like autometer would have produced clearer and more precise ones than they did.

Like the greddy adapter this one is not set up for an oil cooler. Sensors / turbo oil feed only.

is there an adapter or some way of setting this one or the greddy one up so that you can run oil temp, oil pressure, turbo feed, and an oil cooler???

It would not doubt be a complex adapter but it would definitely be interesting....

what about one that could just run oil temp, oil pressure, and an oil cooler (no turbo)...or would you have to do some custom work along with one of the universal oil cooler kits like some fo the ones that summit racing offers???

ATL,

The one pictured above is the same one I have, it has 3 holes to attach oil "stuff". I only needed Oil Pressure so my other two ports are blocked. Here is a link to what you want to buy. Search until you find one for toyota. I'm sure there are ones made with 4 holes vs. the 3. This gets installed between engine block and the oil filter. I'll try and take some pics of mine if I get a chance.
