From all the rock chips, scratches, etc., I am having the front of a Celica re-sprayed. Now is an opportune time to consider replacing the bumper.

I like the stock look.

Does anyone have experience switching out an 00 style bumper for an 03 style bumper? I checked the Toyota parts catalog, and it appears that the only problem I may run into is the bumper/foam piece has a different shape.

I don't want to have to buy a new foam piece just to put on an 03-style bumper.

Just curious whether anyone has already done this type of appearance mod and can share the issues they experienced in doing this. If the bumpers are not easily interchangeable, then I will just stick with the 00-style bumper.

Thanks.
Alex

they are pretty easily interchangeable, things that will need to be modified,

remove foam (or replace with the correct year bumper)
foglights (either redrill some holes or get mounting brackets for that year)

even still the bumper wont sit 100% perfect, but more like 99.5%. I interchanged my 03 front to an 00-02 style. Everything else bolts up in the same place
