Is anyone having a hard time getting their 5-speed to shift in colder weather?...

It also grinds when putting it into reverse - sometimes.
I have missed 5th gear a couple of times and hit 3rd instead. Could it be damaged?
Will the dealer repair this under warranty?

I have a GT as well and I do have some grinding into reverse but I dont have the problem going into 5th... It would be a good idea to have the dealer look at it...

GT engine has really high tolerances. You would probably know if you damaged something. But you can't say for sure without a compression check. I have heard of a lot of people misshifting and getting away with it; The same kind of misshifting that would send a rod into orbit on a GT-S.

Make sure you're completely stopped, and not even rolling forward or backward and then shift into reverse. You shouldn't hear any grinding then.

put it into a gear before you put it in reverse and it won't grind, have the clutch depressed put it in first gear take it out put it in reverse.
