gf's come and go.... its ur car... iono why she wants u to change it.... ITS BETTER LOOKING?!?! im sorry.. but thats one of the reasons i dont ask the girls around me for car advice... cuz they really dont know anything about them other than "its pretty" im not trying to be sexist or anything... just none of the girls i know care much about cars... if u have a GT-S..... u are faster than the spec-V... iono why im typing all this haha.... if u are going to trade in ur car because of ur gf.... u are officially W.H.I.P.P.E.D :gap:

Well i have both so your lucky.

The Spec-V(not v-spec) does have more room and more hp and torque than a celica GT(175hp/181lb/ft vs 140hp/125lb/ft), 6 spds, the all important HLSD and a pretty responsive engine to mods. Looks are opinions and everyone will think there own way.

The Spec-v is faster than my Celica GT(yes its a 5spd) and now its even faster with the aem cai.

Basically its up to you on what you want to do.

p.s. the aftermarket for the spec-v is a little further along than the celicas even though its been around for 5 months. :D

what does the spec-v have that the celica doesn't have?

HLSD thats something that the celica doesn't have and i wish we did have it as an option. The 60' foot time on the v-spec are impressive with a 2.2. But the V-Spec lacks top-end big time and the gearing kinda sucks for topend runs. 3rd gear goes up to 75 and 4th gear goes to 90. Its a excellent car for the price. 17.5k for hlsd, 175 hp, 180 torque, 17 inch wheels, etc...is a bargain. But I would still keep the celica, its way better in my opinion. Inside looks way better and feels more solid then the v-spec. The inside isn't that great. It feels really cheap. Well don't let your GF tell you which car to get cause when she or you break up, you are left with whatever you decide to keep or buy and make sure you like it. Lates.

I wouldn't let a girl decide what kind of car I drive cause most cars don't know anything about cars.

um what car where you in that 3rd toped out at 75mph?? and 4th 90?? 3rd tops out at 80mph and 4th at 100. Top end isnt lacking much considering with just an intake people are trapping at 92+mph.

Actuallymy spec-v feels alot more stable in the turns and driving normally than my celica.

The Spec V's are nice, but I just do not like the looks of them at all. I'll stick with my Celica. Anyways, don't trade in a car you like just because of a girlfriend who may not be around in another 6 months.

dont worry man im thinking about it too.

parents might force me to sell

and i can afford the spec v without parental help.

its a matter of pride, really

the celica gets expensive esp. with the mods im having put on.
