Lately my motor mount has been making this chirpy noise when I close the door. After the dealer ordered a new motor mount, they realized that they couldn't replace it. There is a bolt in the frame that is loose and the mount can't move unless the bolt is completely in. This requires welding and whatnot in order to remove the mount. Apparently it's a Toyota problem, so I was wondering if anyone else has run into this? There was actually another Celica that needs a motor mount at the dealer, but the part has not come in yet so I'm not sure if it's the same case.

i had a problem with my motor mount, after the install of my clutch/flywheel. a week after the install, the car would chirp, and sqeak, on any turn, bump, and shift, but was fine on idle, or when the car wasnt moving. so i took it back about 2 weeks later. the dealer look'd and and fix'd the problem.

Thats a buncha bull... motor mounts are strictly bolt on... if they're having to weld there is something else wrong with your car they aren't telling you about.

I know what your talking about...The motor mount on the passager side has a nut thats welded inside the frame that the bolt for it screws into...if you torque the bolt to tight, it will break the weld...I know, toyota did it to mine when they fixed my tranny and they said it didnt need to be fixed because the bolt was that was missing was on the side that the engine torques to so it want a prob...It pissed me off, so I had to take a dremmel, cut a 1"X1" hole inside the fender well to get to the bolt, cut it out and stick a regular nut/bolt in there..Hey it worked, and Now I always have access to that bolt...
