ok im not sure if im the only one that has this problem or if it's common on these cars. but for some reason when i open my doors the inside light does not come on..the only way i get it on is if i put it in the on position. when i have it set to come on when the door is open it never works. anyone know a fix to this problem?

Mine did that last night for some reason, then started working again for no reason. I was going to hunt down the problem, but it fixed iteself. :shrugs:

DOME light control from the doors is done via an output from the Body ECU. Each door has a "pin" switch that connects to ground (to inputs on the Body ECU) on door open. There is a switch on the rear hatch latch that also goes to the Body ECU. When dome light is in the DOOR switch position, grounding any one of these inputs causes the DOME output lead of the Body ECU to go "low" to ground & light the lamp.

Do any of the other door open functions work (key reminder buzzer)? That will tell you if the pin switch is OK.

Do you have an aftermarket theft alarm? It is not uncommon for an alarm to grab the DOME lead as a trigger for theft... as it changes state when any door is opened.

none of my door open functions work. the only one that works is the light that tells me i have a door open. and yes i do have an after market alarm with remote start. maybe thats the problem? i also have another problem. at night the headlights on my car come on as soon as i put the car on..even if the button is on the off position. anyone have any info on this problem?

none of my door open functions work. the only one that works is the light that tells me i have a door open. Pin switch is OK, if you get any indication at all of a door open.
and yes i do have an after market alarm with remote start. maybe thats the problem? It's possible... if they latched onto the DOME output.i also have another problem. at night the headlights on my car come on as soon as i put the car on..even if the button is on the off position. anyone have any info on this problem?That's normal... headlights should come on as soon as you take off the parking brake.

Check the following fuses:
20A DOOR
5A Body ECU-IG
7.5A ECU-ACC
