engine compression

i tested compression across all pistons: 223,221,223,220. did 5 cranks each. and tested it twice per piston. this TSB i have says GTS engine is supposed to be 203, and GT 218!? did they have it backwards?

i dont know why most people get around 180.

after i was done i ended up with a check engine lite. i assume it was normal.. cranking the engine with no spark plugs and all.

Yup, check engine light with "misfire on all cylinders" :)

That compression does seem awefully high...makes me wonder sometimes. What kind of guage was used to measure it?? Was it a good one or a cheap one?? That "might" be the reason for higher numbers.

No matter how many times I do a compression test...I am always at 190ish on all...
