Welps just picked up the car.

Only bad thing is, I have no juice..lol. It got used up during the tuning process...so I'll have to wait till tomorrow to find out how bad this mofo is..heh.

Anyways, their printer had a cow, so I've got the results on disc, but they're a dyno binary, so I can't exactly view them right now.

After they get their printer back online I'll finally get a scanned copy...anyways.

They used a Mustang Dnyamometer program with Inertia something or another technology.

The runs were not dyno corrected, and were with an estimated weight of 2,700. Before you freak out, I weigh about 200 pounds, so I wanted ON THE STREET results. The dyno uses an electromagnetic wheel to add "poundage" to force the engine to work as if it was rolling on the street.

LOL..it's amazing what a little weight loss can do for your car..heh.

I put down an 154 horses at the wheel without the 35 shot.

This is in comparison to my previous dyno of about 165 horses using SAE correction down in Sacramento... I asked Ray about this, and due to the type of dyno, and the fact that it's not corrected, he said it's gonna be a heckuva lot lower than my previous dyno.

When he ran it with the 35 shot, it jumped up to 189 horses at the wheel. Kinda strange cuz it's a 36hp increase instead of a 35, so who knows what the deal is.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to discuss the torque numbers at all, because I had to jet....but I'm taking it to a different dyno later on this week to get some SAE numbers for comparison for you guys. And for myself.

I didn't get to get any runs in, but he said he did about three runs up on the highway to make sure everything was dialed in. He said it kicked ass...so I believe him.

We'll see tomorrow..heh.

Another thing is that I haven't run with the 50 shot, cuz they ran out just tuning it for the 35. He said he thinks the engine could take a 50-60 shot no problem, but doesn't really like the idea of running a 75 on it.

Can anyone help me figure out what the numbers would be in SAE, for the moment?

I mean I could pretty much say that since it was a 36 horse increase, then just tack that on my previous dyno in Sacto, and it would be about 200 horses at the wheel...but we all know how iffy that type of reasoning is.

not bad at all for a 35shot...yet I wonder what they would be like SAE corrected. I always thought non-corrected numbers were higher than usual.

I remember someone (I think LarryD) did a dyno with uncorrected figures and got around 180+ to the wheels??!?

On a side note...please please please tell me what kind of spark plugs you are running! ;)

I know the spark plug question is getting old...I just want to learn more and more about diff kinds of plugs out there, thanks!

yes.. it was 180 something.. i cant remember the exact # but it was also cold as **** outside.. SAE can be lower or higher depending on the conditions your running in, if its but as cold out then SAE will be lower..

LOL..believe it or not...I'm currently running STOCK plugs.

Ray took a look and was like, you're only running 35, when you move up to 50, get different ones. :D

If it breaks...I'm not responsible. :D

Any I missing something? 154+35=189, so where is this "36hp" increase that you're talking about. Not to be a ****, but I think your math is a little flawed.

Er... *pulls out calculator"

I failed to mention that I rounded up..dangit I wish I could put my dyno up. Stupid printer.

It was like 153.4 or some shiat like that.

Forget those numbers, I don't trust them anyways...I'm waiting to get better numbers from a Dynojet or something equal to what I had done last time.

Gotcha. Well, 35shot producing 36whp is not remarkable. 1whp is really small and for some dynos beyond the limit of detection. Your numbers look good though!

if nothing else it proves that NX kits do rate hp at the wheels, NOS kits rate hp at the flywheel

Damn you got some balls man...running stock plugs...! :)

I STILL have not plugs here...so I am itching to drop the shot to 35 and use the stockers....I just dont want to burn the tips off of them somewhere and have to drive home under those conditions...!!

Get new plugs man...you engine will love you to death for it! :)

Ya, I agree with you.

I'm switching out sometime this week. Since I'm running a 35, I don't think my engine hates me just yet...but I'm gonna lay off of it until I get some different ones.

Like I said, Ray (Fastlane) said not to worry about it too much until I hit a higher shot of it, and I trust him, but I am gonna hold off a bit.

Oh, and as far as 36 hp, welps...I figured that I'd BE UNDER 35, as I just though there'd be some loss somewhere due to drivetrain and all that...it seems kinda strange that a company is actually telling the truth about their product for a change. :|

well, from what ive heard, nx measures their HP at the wheels as apposed to at the crank like some companies. so if you had a 35 NOS kit i gues you could expect it to actually be less at the wheels. but i agree with you, it is nice that a company is actually factual about their claimed gains.

Well I ran a 75 shot with the stock plugs. When I canged them to the NGK plugs the stock ones look perfect still. I will get the box tom. and give you all the part number...

I think it might possibly have more to do with the tuning of the car?

IRL, did you get your car dyno tuned with an A/F controller, like the S-AFC?

It didn't feel too different from stock other than it's a helluva lot quicker on the get go. But it felt perfectly normal, no weird sounds, nothing out of the ordinary.

my Celica felt better on the nitrous then it did off.. just seemed to run better

Ya, I totally agree. IT feels like when it's off, it's just BEGGING for more nitrous. Maybe it's just me...but when I wasn't using the nitrous yesterday, that's WHEN it felt wrong, lol.

It just feels right. Ugg, I need to drive my car again..mwhah.

I was the guy that pulled a 184 at the wheels N/a with previous motor then I miss-shifted it 2 days after the dyno :(
It was non sae corrected. This was before my clutch & flywheel.
Larry can I still scan it and give it to you??

The new motor doesn't feel as strong.

ArchangelX - Yes I had my afc tuned off the bottle...made about 10 runs to get it perfect...then we went on the bottle.

I have been a tad scared so I only running the 35shot, regardless, it feels pretty darn good to say the least!
