The SH is supposed to be the better handler with suspension modifications. I don't know to much because I own a Celica. Go to preludeonline.com. I'm sure they can answer the question better.

Prelude SH's have ATTS...Automatic (Active?) Torque Transfer System...really a cool little deal unless you are Autoxing, it sensed wheel slip and put the power to the other wheel, much like a LSD...also, you couldn't get SH's in leather, and they only came in a couple of colors i think...white and black for sure

the base prelude has a little better striaghtline speed then the sh,because the atts system adds i think about 80 lbs. however that atts system, from what i hear, is pretty effective in the turns. same horsepower i believe, and if it were me, i'd stick with the base.

Prelude TypeSH models also come with the rear spoiler and painted sideskirts, in addition to the ATTS.

If you want good handling, I suppose you should go for the SH, since it does handle better, but if you want straight-out speed, go for the base. Supposedly the Greddy turbokit only fits the base model due to the oil filter location of the SH.

The reason I ask is that greddy come out with a turbo for the prelude but it said that it won't work with the SH.

i had read that the ATTS system doesn't do anything for handling unless u're really pushing the car to its limits. Which u probably won't do on streets.

Well I had to go down in the basement to find the brochure I picked up in 2000 when I was looking at the Prelude, Celica and Eclipse. Everything is identical except the SH is only 5-speed, no auto. It has ATTS, a rear spoiler, weighs 88 lbs more, and has a wider turning radius.

I didn't like the black cloth only interior. Plus it was more expensive than the other 2. That's why I passed on it.

Got that same brochure myself when i was looking at these cars..

seemed liek a good deal for a better all around car, but if you're into straight line only..WTF are you buying a prelude to begin with??

so.. :)

Slasher -- was that a rethorical question or was that for me? I can't tell. :D
