Good day Guys Im Quintin WIlliams,:)

Last week I traded in my truck for a car, I figured that no only would I save on gas but I would save on insurance as well. My truck was a 2002 F150 4X4 and the car I got was a Mitsubishi Galant. Much to my surprise when I called the insurance company they told me it would cost more to insure! I guess they consider this car a luxury car! How much BS is that?? So Im planning to change my insurance company.. I have been surfing the net for good insurance, i came into - url edited, possible spam - has anyone tried online insurance? how effective is the online quote system? can i depend my money on this? or can anyone tell me a good insurance company to check out that may be cheaper or won't consider a Galant a luxury car? Thank you in advance.

just stay away from Geiko

Try Statefarm or Progressive. I know there's a few others out there but can't remember them atm.

But I know how you feel. A 2002 Nissan Xterra was costing me $450 every 6 months new and my 2004 celica GT costs me $650 used. But I had a had a lapse in insurance for a year I was in Iraq.

One thing about insurance.....
Shure you might pay a few $ less with an "online" insurance co. but, what about service?

Having somone locally you can actually sit down with and talk to when you have an accident or some other problem can be very important at times.

Personally, I prefer to pay a few $ more through State Farm because the local SF agent gives great service. :)

I got all-state and no worries about it. All I can say is know what your are getting and the reputation of the company when it comes to filling claims.

All-state tried to increase my policy just because one of our liability insured car got into an accident and I wasn't the driver so they put the charges on my car. We end up confronting them and gave us a new quote which 1.) took out the extra charges, and 2.) lesser than my previous quote.
