So I'm planning on buying the Hass kit... ehat I'm wondering is when I install the kit, will the emanage they give me be pre-programmed and if so will the whole kit be and plug and play deal? I've read so many posts about having a shop tune but this might just be for powerFC, so yea, if I unstall the kit and hook up the emanage will It be a done deal and then I can go at it or do I still ahve to have fine tuning done?

*I meant base map as DD, just want to be safe dont wanna blow up engine..*

I would say that they have a pre-loaded map but that it won't give you the best results for YOUR car. I think it'd be worth it to spend a couple hundred $$ to get a proper tune at a shop and know that everything is running right instead of assuming it is. Just my 2 cents.

it really is a stupid question. even if it does come pretuned, you still have to get it tuned for YOU.

btw, wanna buy my C2 kit?

LOL 140GT is giving me advice :hide:

Dude, you don't even have your c2 kit yet lmao. And if you wanted the same HP i can only assume its in the tuning and gt28rs

Like you havn't ask questions that a 12yr could answer... You are the #1 Moron on NC.org didn't you know?

Answer to your question, yes, you can run the base map to get things started however it would be really good to stay away from WOT without a prof. tune.

You just realized it actually takes some knowlegde to turbo didn't you?

I would not drive under load with their pre-programmed map.
You can drive it to a dyno shop to dyno tune it for you (with wideband O2 hooked up), fix the map to fit your car. There is no plug and play kit out there when it comes boost induction.

Dude - the E-manage is barely enough for a car with 6 PSI - its way too inferior for a car with a GT28RS IMO. Get a Power FC or a Hydra.

Anyways yes you could run the basemap from Hass to get to the tuner *IF* you also have a wideband and can monitor the AF ratio and make sure you aren't in trouble.

Thanks Boosted.. It seems almost pointless for them to include the emanage in the kit now.

Well, since I quoted you only... Lets think...

Agreed, I would suggest just emailing hass and seeing what kind of price they can do without the Emanage and look into buying the PFC or Hydra, (Like what was suggested)

140, why did you buy a turbo kit, and decided to sell it before even getting it?

is this because you decided you dont need a turbo? or do you want a better kit than the c2?

buying a kit, and then selling it before even getting it sounds dumb. no offence....

My understanding is hass sends out emanages unloaded and you get a map in an email. At least thats what happend to one of the matrix hass kits a guy bought. And a emange isnt a real "plug n play" per say .You must wire it into your oem harness.youll need the GReedy support tool to upload your map to the emanage it doesnt come in the kit, also ya need a laptop .

No, there's not much for kits. Especially for us in Canada, everything will cost you more!

drewd, before you order your kit, call Hass and talk to Jay, they've got really great customer support and will work with you on any qualms you may have regarding the purchase of their kit, I talked to him for 45 minutes one day about a specific turbo that I ended up not being able to buy from him (didn't fit my setup), and he was very kind and patient and answered all my questions (which looking back on, some were kind of dumb)....as for the e-manage, yes you are going to have to get it fine tuned, like everybody else up there ^ said, also, as long as you're 2zz equipped and have a manual (stick), Hass can get you the PFC with the kit instead of the e-manage and since you're going to have to get it fined tuned anyway, it makes since you should get a computer that can flawlessly run the engine....anyway that's my 2 cents

Thanks for all the info guys.

I'm seriously thinking that since there is no way around the tuning process (yes I have been ignorant :hide: )
that the TRD sc would be most cost effective and suit my needs better..
I guess I'll just have to tow the car when it's time..
