I was driving home this last Thursday and I got into an accident. I was passing two trucks in a passing lane and sped up to pass. I got past both trucks and started slowing down for some turns. Made the first turn with no problems. Started making the next turn and my car slides out of control. I end up driving straight into the embankment and then flipping. I am sure the car is a total loss. The worst part of this story was I was on my way to get my veilside body kit installed. It was just finished being painted. This is some ****ty luck, besides surviving the crash.

Glad to see you are okay, but you must have been taking that turn REALLY FAST for your celica to start sliding.

Thanks everyone. I was lucky to have no damage to myself.
My celi's ass end kicked out and then I slide. The end of the celi has a tendency to do that but I have taken the same turn tons of times with no problem. I think there might have been something on the road, gravel. I am not sure exactly what could have caused it because it happened so quickly.
Bat: I am sorry but I am going to go with a honda civic hatchback and do a motorswap. It is going to cost less and I will be able to get anything for it to make it faster. Turbo spoolllll....

Good thing ure alright, amazing choice on the new car.
Glad you are ok man. I've almost done that same thing. Taking a turn I always take a fast, all of a sudden, car spinning out of control. Thankfully I managed to regain control of my car before slamming into a telephone pole.
Essentially it was a stupid move on my part, I used the breaks a little too much and thats what happens. Breaking in the celi during a turn is a big no no, especially when hauling ass. Also my tires were definately a little worn, not nearly as tight from when I first bought them.
Keep it safe man, a lesson learned for yourself and others. There's so many variables to have to go right for the car to stay glued to the road. Most of the time its fine, but not always. Anything from sand, gravel, or even a large rock or turtle in the road can be disasterous.

The car has been pretty much stripped of all the aftermarket parts. I have a few friends on the team that bought them. What dress up parts are you looking for?
Steve

Thanks for the response. I can out with only a bump on my head which is the only lucky part of the whole situation. The insurance claimed it a total loss and 100% my fault. I will try to fight this because I think it was caused by my tire. I should be able to get 18000$ hopefully. We will see.
00 scrub: how much you wanna pay? pm me and tell me whats up.

i almost flipped my car once. I was showing of for some friends and took a turn going too fast. I got it up on two wheels and luckily i landed back down on the pavement on all four, overcorrected, overcorrected again, and overcorrected a third time before finally getting the car back in line again. My face looked like Memphis Rains's right after he made that final jump in the stang.
