puff puff ( like trying to get air) sound at idle

just wanna make sure nothing is wrong with my car. i have a AEM cold air intake........ at idle the car makes a puff puff sound like its loosing air going into the engine....... is this normal?? just wanna make sure

probably clean your maf... or your air filter...

I have heard that on my car with the ingen intake as well. It sounded almost like the engine was getting too much air, and was popping some of it back out. I think it went away, though...and it only seems to happen when the car is cold, right after starting it up.

how do you clean your MAF (mass air flow sensor, right?). Isn't it a super-delicate thing? I'm a little afraid of messing with it after hearing stories of people breaking theirs while doing CAI installs.
