Hey guys. I have the wings west kit on my celi and 17" rims. I want to drop my car down because there's still a decent amount of space in the wheel wells and I don't really like how it looks. All the springs I found drop a minimum of 1.4 inches...would this be too low? I thought maybe an inch would be enough because i dont want my front lip to get ripped off going over a pothole or something stupid like that..do u guys think 1.4 is alright though?

Idk man..the front of my car with the lip is pretty damn low with the stock springs etc..the TRD 1.2 sounds pretty nice...im not looking to slam my car down or anything, just wanna lower it a little bit..just thought id get some advice first

TRD springs are nice if you have 19's ... it's just too subtle for any wheel size smaller than that. I doubt you'll notice it. And for the price paid and time installed, you're better off installing springs that offer a more aggressive drop. Just my $0.02.

I totally agree. I have stechs now and its a 1.5 drop and i dont like it. it needs to go lower. it still has a big gap. I maybe purchse the tanabe DF210 springs soon.

1.4-2" drop sounds like something for 18s... I say anything from 1.8" and up is suitable for 17s.

Well, it is your car bro. You choose. The Hotchkis Street springs sound good for you, since that's about what you want. They're basically 1.4" front, 1.8" rear drops.

What about these adjustable springs though? They seem convenient so if the drop isn't enough u can just adjust it...(I know nothing about suspension so bare with me lol) but i found this on ebay...would u guys think it's cool or totally something I should avoid

Depending on your kit 1.5 is fine my kit is way to low to go 2 or lower

Nope i didn't get anything yet, but the springs u told me about (Hotchkis) sound pretty good so im thinking of just going for those...where can i buy them and how much would they be?
LightningRod

They're about $150 shipped no matter where you look.
Better yet, try to find some used. They'll be cheaper and probably last longer than your car.

What you can also do is order the springs along with their sways in a kit. That way you get more performance... :)
i.e. this. It includes sways and springs. The kit retails for $477 plus shipping from their site.

Or just the springs direct from manufacturer for $157 plus shipping.

Hey thanks a lot guys...the kit sounds great but i can't afford to spend that much, so i guess i'll just go for the springs. Thanks so much for everything guys, and i'll let u all know when i buy them/get them installed. Might take some time though because i have other expenses to pay soon such as insurance+cell phone, but im hoping by early november =)
