and you are? First of all she posted whe she first came to tis site NOT IN THE FL SECTION. Guess what, she got the same response we give her at the beginnig. Lose the tails/wipers, get your kit painted..ect. We have said that trying to help her out. If they are preping their motor for turbo, how can they afford that if they cant even afford to get their kit painted? I find it pretty funny, dont go off and say ahh they want to be sleeper (like the primered vic that is fast as hell) b/c they obviously say they are a show club.If she wants to represent a club atleast be professioal about it. Make a poster/flyer that is gonna appeal to others than high school kids. Personally I wouldnt even bother reading the flyer b/c of the way it looks. And the girl is plum dumb, who posts 3 times in 1 week, hey whos close to (where ever she lives) we are meeting in the parking lot yada yada. After the second time and noone posted I would have gotten the feeling no one is gonna show up. Wait about 3 weeks and post it again (new members register o a daily basis), not twice a week. And if she sees a celica you better believe shes gonna make a thread about it "whos the person with the red celica and wing?" Eveyone that owns a celica comes to this site? wow didnt know that....Do you get the idea?, we are not bashing her the way you make it sound. no pics hombre, newcelica is too much hassle to post pictures. i don't feel like showing off my ride nor do i feel like dealing with the opinions of stock members. i do not receive criticism well and i do not like getting compliments either. basically, this is my car, my vision, and leave it at that.

you all disrespect the cubanita but i respect her. she is doing the bodywork herself. yes it has taken longer than expected but like her i have other priorities going on in my life that cause car customizing to take the backseat occasionally. her taking the initiative to get it correct by taking charge and doing it herself is points in my book. i still have to get bodywork done 'cause i didn't do it myself and i kick myself over it everytime i see it. yeah, criticize cat for taking too long but she is also doing all the other members bodywork also. has she bit off more than she can chew? maybe, but at least she has an appetite.

When I had my Celica I took nearly every piece of it apart at one point or another. I know the car inside and out. I did all of the modifications and "body work" with the exception of the clutch & springs (its worth paying money for those two). well, rice is a derogatory term used to hate on others whose tastes are different than your own. yes, there are things that on a concensus most of us would agree on concerning the subject matter. yes, as a senior member your harsh constructive criticism is earned, but should it be expoited?

in a perfect world everything would go according as planned but this is not a perfect world and situations do arise and priorities do shift. there are indeed other things going on besides customizing automobiles. everybody has to remember that we all do not start off at the same backgrounds, not all of us were born with silver spoons in our mouths, not all of us are doctors or lawyers...

why is it so hard for people in florida to respect others. is the concept so far out of grasp? i stand up for the little guy because obviously this has been an all out slaughter and then you disrespect me, with absolutely no knowledge of who i am, and make accusations with assumptions?

now, rereading what i wrote actually does appear harsh given the broad addressal. and yes i will apologize for that, because obviously i have offended and hurt the boyracer. that was directed more towards a handful of people and not the few that i actually have seen post intelligent threads. i'm pretty confident you all know yourselves best, whether you've contributed positively or negatively.

assumptions + judgement = negativity. obviously negativity is not a positive influence on this site. this negativity drives members away, that is why other sites do exist (formerly ecelica, allgen, etc) when they should not. newcelica has the most knowledge but also has the harshest most arrogant e-thugs in the celica community. maybe that's why there is only 134 active members out of the 25,409 members on at this time (if you're curious that is 'bout half a percent).

perhaps this lack of returning members would be indicative of how negative attitude has shunned celica owners from modding, which in turn has significantly lowered demand, hence the lack of aftermarket support that has time and time again been complained, which lowers morale and increases agitation. all originating back to the lack of respect that has been perpetuated since i've been reading at this site since 2003.

i'd also like to reiterate (as i have stated in other threads) that in the florida region we should be discussing local celica meets, car shows, competent tuners, and supply points. why is there an e-war when we all agree but the difference is respect?

1. i have NOT started any e-fights, i was dragged into it by others picking on another member that i do know and then they chose to target me. should this be in OT, maybe, but i did not start it, i was the one opposing the bashing originally going on in the florida section. i tried to squash it prior to it getting out of hand.

2. i did not criticize nor ask for criticism regarding "rides" but rather i criticised the tactics that were currently being exhibited frequently in this section towards other members. yes it is your right to have your own opinion and not like something but being rude is unacceptable.

3. regarding car meets and local information, i see we concur. that was exactly my point. local information should be discussed by local people. not local people getting picked on by local people.

4. hey greg, i lived in mass. too and i don't remember anybody being so utterly unfriendly as florida especially when i agree with the majority of what they say. the only difference is that i still respect individuals regardless of their opinion. i think i'll have to post that a million more times before it gets through everybody else's heads.

I laugh however, at your silver spoon comment. Most of the posters discussing the work on her car received their vehicles as "gifts" from their parents. (I'm not going to name names. You will see by the responses to my post who these people are.). Having this insight, though, helps you understand why some cannot understand why it isn't so easy to just run out and "mod" your car. I have had my celica since Nov. 2001; longer than most have had their licenses. I have done nothing to my car. I have no plans to do anything to my car because I can think of about 150 better things to do w/ my money.
