weld?

anyone know how to weld here? i wanted to weld a bung for a wideband. i WANTED to do it on my own...but from what i learned, it's a little too dangerous for my taste.

What's dangerous about a weld? I've got a welder and it's basically just weld the bung to the exhaust pipe. The bitch part is going to be if the pipe is rusted and you have to fill in more of a gap. If you can drill the right size for the bung so it's snug, there shouldn't be much of a problem.

If I don't pick up the wrx this weekend, I'm going to install my wideband and I'll let you know how it goes.

and as far as the welding goes...i don't like workin with flamable gasses so i was going to get the electric welder. maybe that'll be my next hobby, but i gotta learn first!

Went to couple of dealerships, but they don't have what i'm looking for. Only want the 02-05 wrx's cuz the 06 is just hidious. Have a few more dealerships to visit that actually have them in.

Anyway, I only have about 200lbs of argon/co2 gas in my mig welder. I'm just using the gasless flux core wire until i feel like filling up my tank. As for the gas itself, it's not too hazardous. I've had my tank for over 2 years and no problem. But if you ever need something weld lmk. Just as long as your ok with ok welds. I have my certificate in arc welding only. Mig is pretty much easy to learn.
