Thanks to Askjeeves.com!!

What that shows is that the colder plug exposes a smaller amount of the insulator nose to the combustion chamber meaning it will dissape heat faster which you would need because FI(Nitrous/Turbo/Blower) obviously causes higher combustion temps...If the plug cant dissapate the heat fast enough then the plug it self over heats and fails..

Time to get some new plugs!

question.. slightly off topic. but, have you ever seen what the white stuff around the spark plug does to glass? why does it do this???

(if you break the white part off of the spark plug into little pieces and throw it really hard at a piece of glass (ie large window) the glass simply shatters into a million tiny pieces. its.. kind of amazing.)

I've been told its due to the sharpness of the edge created when you break that kind of ceramic.
