I was reading the instructions for the Kam skirts, and became somewhat confused? Can someone clarify the instructions (preferably in english). I could only find one bolt, and 7 clips. I don't see how the kam skirts attach to the factory skirts.

Hmm... I had the same problem... Well tell me this first since my method works with the existing sides... Have you painted your side skirts yet? If so cant help you there.. If not... Just keep the stock sides on... What i did was drill 3 holes for both the front and rear of the Kaminari sides onto the stock... Looks really neat... And its secure as hell... Now for the middle part what you want to do is get some industrial 3M double sided tape and put one on the stock sides and there you go... I send you some pics if you want... Later man...

Yeah! Post pics, that would be great! Luckly, I haven't painted the sides or the bumpers yet. Still looking for a good deal around here.

I also remember by body shop that was installing my kit used Silicon to stick it on my car... Maybe they used that instead of 3m tape...

Its uses the stock skirts for a snug tight fit. I only used 4 screws, 2 front/back.

Well what type of pics do you want? I cant show you the stock sides since they have been completely covered with the Kaminari sides... I already have pics of my ride somewhere on the site just do a search on them... I think the title was something like "what spoiler should I get" or something like that... Yeah you could go with 4 screws total (2 front and 2 in the rear) but I felt for comfortable with the 6... Silicon would do fine as well - I was planning to use that but the good ones were to expensive and I wasnt planning on using that much... A roll of the 3M (the heavy duty one which holds 5lbs per square inch) should do just fine... Also what I did was put a crew in the middle of the Kaminari side for added support... Ill try to post some pics tonight... Later...

Thanks!
On another note, I just pre-installed the rest of the kit, and I'm not very happy with the results (fitting). From reading threads on this board, I got the impression that Kaminari would have a pretty good fit, without major modifications. Yeah right!
I'll tell ya, I understand why most people cry about the price when they get it profesionally done. There's alot of modifications needed when fitting, and the screws they provide suck!
The thickness of the kit is pretty thick! (I'm not sure if it's suppose to be that thick.) It would of been better if they made as thick as the stock bumpers. Anyone else have the same problem?

OK whats the problem man? Is it because the kit is thick? Whats the problem with the fitment of your kit? Where did you get it?
Anyway my kit fits just fine its not perfect needed about 45 minutes of grinding for the sides to sit flush but other than that I would say the kit that I got is excellent...

mine are on with 2 screws in the front and back...3M tape on top in the door...and 4 screws through the bottom... they aren't going anywhere...
well...my guys rather expensive but he said about 5-700 to paint and hang (granted if stock color)...
I had no fitment problems at all... the front bumper kinda bulged out a lil' cause i bottomed out pretty good one time... other than that...you just gotta sand down that ****ty primer they used and fix any knicks in it from shipping...thats bout it

With comparison to the stock bumpers, the Kam kit is not even close to being perfect. I think the kit is to thick, and the screws that come with don't work to well. My pops and I had to be innovated to get the kit to stay where it's supposed to be.
Example:
Kam Rear Bumper.
Problems are......
1. It's too thick, you can hardly move the kit around to fit.
2. The top 4 bumper screws that came with kam kit come off when put on and fitted. We had to use super glue to keep it intact.
3. The sides don't sit flush with the contour of the car. There's a big gap between the top left kam bumper to the fender (near the light).
4. We had to practically stretch the bumper to get top right hole (near the rear light) aligned with the fender hole, so we could bolt the dam thing in.
There's alot more, but that's the gist of it. It's my first time putting a kit on car. I guess I assumed it would be a perfect fit and easy to install, just like the stock, but I'm seeing that it takes some work to get it to fit right. I wish I knew that sooner, so I would of better prepared myself.
But in all, I'm getting there. I think I'll post some pics. To better show what I'm talking about.

Well not all kits fit 100% that well (aside from the TRD kit) You have the same kit as mine and as far as I know all the bumpers coem from one mold so it shouldnt be that bad... I didnt use the screws and other mounting material that was provided with the kit I decided on using my own... Regarding the 4 screws to mount the rear to the car I used the stock screws that came from the original bumber I just used some rubber washers to hold them in place and it worked really well... I hope all goes well with your install... Yeah post some pics so I can fully understand what you are telling me...
And last but not least... I dont think the Kit is thick at all... Its just that the stock bumper is thin...

Sorry for bringing up the dead thread..but what kind of screws would work best for the sideskirts? Also, where can I buy the 3m tape? Thanks.

Any hardware store should have the 3m tape. and for the screws use low profile head self tapping screws, 1/2" is fine
sorry to keep bringing this up,but I've got another question. Are the screws and the tape all that's needed to install the sideskirts? I seem to remember the bottom of the skirt having around 4 holes in it. Havn't checked that again though,or the included hardware, as both are about 1.5 hours away right now. So do I just do the screws in the end and the tape on top...or do I do something along the bottom of the skirt as well?
